Finishes season with 90 tackles
Jackson recorded 90 tackles, a tackle for loss, two fumble recoveries and an interception in 2020.
Analysis: Jackson, healthy for the full season, was able to top his 2019 tackle total while accounting for three or more turnovers for the third consecutive season. Paired with Justin Simmons, Jackson was also integral in providing help over the top of a very dinged-up cornerbacks room that was forced to play a lot of young players. The Broncos could save $10 million by cutting the aging Jackson this offseason, but -- given the quality of his play and the uncertainty surrounding Simmons heading into free…read more

Racks up 10 tackles in loss
Jackson recorded 10 tackles (eight solo) and a pass defensed in Sunday's 22-16 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: Jackson reached double digits in tackles for the second time this season. The veteran safety has a chance to set a new career high in the category, needing 18 tackles over Denver's final four games to match the 87 he posted in 2018 with the Texans.

Produces career high in tackles
Jackson made 12 tackles in Sunday's 31-30 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: After failing to post more than six tackles in a game through the first seven weeks, Jackson rung up a whopping 12 stops -- a new career high in the category. The 32-year-old safety has never surpassed the 100-tackle threshold in a season during his 11-year career, but he's on pace for 96 stops so far this year.

Back to full practice
Jackson (back) was listed as a full participant in Tuesday's practice, putting him on track to suit up Thursday against the Jets, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: It looks like Jackson's absence from Monday's practice was just precautionary with the team looking to keep him fresh on a short week. The safety has played every defensive snap through Denver's first three games, so he certainly earned the day off Monday.

Dealing with back injury
Jackson (back) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Jackson has played every defensive snap so far this season, recording 16 tackles, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery. Considering this was just an estimated practice report, the Tuesday report should be more revelatory when it comes to Jackson's status. If he's forced to miss any time, Duke Dawson could bump into a starting role.

Symptom-free and cleared for drills
Jackson (illness) is no longer exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 and has been cleared to resume working out, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: Jackson was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19 on June 17, and though it hasn't yet been officially announced that he's tested negative, being cleared to work out is an indication that he's managed an unimpeded recovery. The 32-year-old safety is entering the second season of his three-year deal with the Broncos, and the team will once again rely on him as a key pillar of the secondary in 2020.

Analysis: Jackson waived the appeal, and his suspension will keep him out for the rest of the year. The veteran safety will finish the year with 71 tackles, 10 pass breakups and two interceptions. Will Parks is expected to start at strong safety going forward while Trey Marshall could see an uptick in usage.

Has monster game
Jackson recorded eleven tackles, three passes defensed, an interception and 70-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown during Sunday's 38-24 win over Houston.
Analysis: It was about as good a homecoming as the long-time Texan could have expected. The Alabama product set the tone early, having a fumble recovery lateraled to him during Houston's second drive of the game and scampering for a 70-yard touchdown. He ended Houston's next drive with a vicious hit on DeAndre Hopkins to break up a third-down conversion. Jackson has been a free-agent find for the Broncos as he's moved over to strong safety. Head coach Vic Fangio has said that he believes the veteran can…read more
