Signed to Broncos' practice squad
Perry (hamstring) was signed to the Broncos' practice squad Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Analysis: Perry was waived by the Saints on Friday and quickly found his next opportunity in Denver. The wide receiver was dealing with a hamstring injury recently, but it appears as though it isn't significant enough to dissuade the Broncos from bringing him in. Perry has yet to appear in a game this season, but he caught 12 of 18 targets for 246 yards and four touchdowns over 10 games with New Orleans in 2023.

Could be brought back by NOLA
Head coach Dennis Allen said Saturday that the Saints would be interested in bringing Perry (hamstring) back on the practice squad, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis: Perry has been a healthy scratch or ruled out with illness or injury over the first four games of the regular season, and he was waived by the Saints on Friday. The 2023 sixth-round pick could get picked up by a team off the wire, but if he clears waivers, there appears to be some interest for him to stick around on the Saints' practice squad. In his rookie year, Perry caught 12 passes (on 18 targets) for 246 yards and four touchdowns across 10 regular-season games.

Waived by Saints
The Saints waived Perry (hamstring) on Friday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Analysis: A 2023 sixth-round pick, Perry generated some fantasy interest after scoring three touchdowns over the final three weeks of last season. He then failed to earn a top-three role this summer, and he's either been a healthy scratch or ruled out due to illness/injury each week this season. He's currently recovering from a hamstring injury, although his limited participation in Thursday's practice suggests it may not be long before he's healthy. The bigger question for now is whether another team…read more

Ruled out for Week 4
Perry (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Falcons, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis: Perry suffered a hamstring injury at practice this week, ultimately sitting out the team's final two sessions before being ruled out. With Chris Olave (hamstring) and Alvin Kamara (ribs) also considered questionable to play, Rashid Shaheed and Taysom Hill stick out as two playmakers who'd potentially step into larger roles.

Doesn't practice Thursday
Perry (hamstring) did not participate in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Perry practiced in full Wednesday, but it appears he is dealing with a hamstring injury severe enough to keep him out of Thursday's session. Perry will have one more shot at practicing Friday ahead of the Saints' Week 4 game against the Falcons on Sunday.

Appears to be past illness
Perry (illness) was not listed on the Saints' injury report Wednesday.
Analysis: Perry has yet to appear in a regular-season game this year, with an illness keeping him out of the Saints' Week 3 loss to the Eagles. The 2023 sixth-round pick was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, indicating that he's fully recovered from his ailment.

Sitting out Sunday
Perry (illness) is inactive Sunday against the Eagles.
Analysis: Perry was considered a healthy scratch in Week 2, although he dealt with a hand injury earlier in the week. Now, after being limited during practice this week due to an illness, he'll be inactive once again. His next opportunity to play will be in Week 4 against the Falcons.

Draws questionable tag
Perry (illness) was a full participant in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against Philadelphia, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Perry popped up on the Saints' injury report Thursday with an illness that limited his participation in practice. His ability to practice in full Friday suggests that the 2023 sixth-round pick is trending towards being available for Sunday's game.

Dealing with illness
Perry (illness) was limited in Thursday's practice session.
Analysis: Perry was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, but he now appears to be dealing with an illness. Friday's injury report should give a better indication of Perry's status for Week 3 against the Eagles. The 2023 sixth-round pick has yet to appear in a regular-season game this year.

Healthy scratch Sunday
Perry (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Analysis: The wide receiver missed Week 1 with a hand injury but returned to practice this week. Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed are entrenched as New Orleans' starters with Cedrick Wilson, Bub Means, Mason Tipton and Perry competing for snaps behind them. Perry caught 12 passes for 246 yards and four scores as a rookie in 2023.

Full practice Wednesday
Perry (hand) was a full practice participant Wednesday.
Analysis: Perry didn't play Week 1 against the Panthers after sitting out practice last Thursday and Friday due to a hand injury. The issue isn't affecting his on-field reps this week, however, indicating he's good to go for Sunday's visit to the Cowboys. Perry thus will be in consideration for wideout reps alongside Cedrick Wilson behind starters Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed.

Sitting out Sunday
Perry (hand) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Analysis: Perry wasn't included on the Saints' first Week 1 injury report Wednesday, but a hand injury kept him out of drills entirely the next two days, resulting in a questionable designation ahead of the weekend. Per Hendrix, Perry wasn't seen during warmups, which signaled that he may not be available, and such an outcome has come to pass. With Perry sidelined, Cedrick Wilson should be the primary No. 3 WR for New Orleans behind starters Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed.

Listed as questionable
Perry (hand) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Carolina, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Perry wasn't listed on the injury report Wednesday but then missed practice Thursday and Friday. It's unclear if his absence would significantly impact the Saints' plans on offense, as Cedrick Wilson may have been positioned for the No. 3 receiver role in any case. The distribution of WR snaps and targets beyond Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed remains uncertain heading into Sunday's home game against Carolina.

Not practicing
Perry (hand) didn't practice Friday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Analysis: Perry was added to the injury report Thursday as a non-participant. The consecutive absences suggest he's in real danger of missing Sunday's game against the Panthers, in which case Cedrick Wilson, Bub Means and/or Mason Tipton could play more snaps than previously expected. Either way, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed remain runaway favorites to get the most snaps and targets.

DNP due to hand injury
Perry didn't practice Thursday due to a hand injury, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Perry is making a sudden appearance on the Saints' Week 1 practice report, making his status worthwhile to follow in advance of the weekend. Ultimately, his listing on Friday's report will give a sense of his potential to play Sunday against the Panthers. Perry put together an impressive preseason, leading the entire NFL with 176 receiving yards and putting himself in a position to be a regular wide receiver in New Orleans' offense in 2024.

Two long catches Sunday
Perry caught two of four targets for 67 yards in Sunday's 30-27 preseason loss to the Titans.
Analysis: Perry's contributions in the preseason finale went beyond what ended up in the box score, as he also had an 18-yard touchdown nullified by a holding penalty in the third quarter, had an 11-yard catch overturned on a challenge in the first quarter and drew a 21-yard pass interference penalty in the fourth. Targeted six times Sunday
Perry (ankle) had two receptions (on six targets) for 24 yards in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Perry got all of his targets in the second half while playing with backups, but it was a positive sign to see the receiver back in action after suffering an ankle injury in the Saints' preseason opener. His standing on the depth chart is unclear, and it's not exactly encouraging that he didn't get first-team snaps on a night when Rashid Shaheed (hamstring) was unavailable. Journeyman vet Cedrick Wilson joined Chris Olave as the regular WR pairing for the first-team offense.

In uniform against 49ers
Perry (ankle) is dressed for Sunday's preseason game against the 49ers, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Analysis: Perry injured his ankle in practice Tuesday but has made a prompt recovery and will play in the Saints' second preseason game Sunday. The 2023 sixth-round draft pick will look to build on his strong performance in the preseason opener, during which he racked up 85 receiving yards against the Cardinals.

Returns as limited participant
Perry (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Friday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Analysis: Perry left Tuesday's practice early with an ankle injury, but he's already managed to return in a limited capacity. The second-year pro will work to gain clearance in time for Saturday's exhibition contest against the 49ers. With No. 2 receiver Rashid Shaheed (toe/foot) sidelined Friday due to what seems like a new injury, Perry could get a chance to handle increased first-team reps once fully healthy.

Perry made an early departure from Tuesday's practice due to an ankle injury, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Perry left the field with athletic trainers, after which coach Dennis Allen clarified the nature of the second-year pro's health concern. The Saints' receiving corps is banged up at the moment, but all of Rashid Shaheed (hamstring), Equanimeous St. Brown (hamstring) and Bub Means (undisclosed) returned to drills Tuesday in red non-contract jerseys, indicating the trio is making progress. Stars in preseason opener
Perry caught all four of his targets for 85 yards during Saturday's 16-14 presason victory over the Cardinals.
Analysis: Perry turned in a really solid outing as the Saints' leading receiver in yards, catches and targets Saturday. The 2023 sixth-round pick's biggest highlight came just before halftime when he got behind Arizona's secondary before hauling in a 58-yard heave down the left the sideline from backup quarterback Jake Haener. Slow start to camp
Coach Dennis Allen said the Saints are still waiting on Perry to step up and make some plays this summer, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Analysis: Allen's assessment was less than glowing, to put it politely. He said Perry has been "fine" during training camp and is "talented enough to make the team" but needs to show it more often on the practice field. There's been some thought Perry could step in as a regular starter for the receiver-needy Saints after his late-season cameo as a rookie in 2023, but Allen's comments make it sound like he's fighting for a roster spot. Hauls in two scores Week 18
Perry hauled in all three targets for 53 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 48-17 win over the Falcons.
Analysis: Perry ended his rookie campaign with his third and fourth receiving scores of the season. The 6-foot-4 wideout out of Wake Forest first caught a touchdown in tight coverage up the left sideline for an 18-yard touchdown that got the Saints on the board in the first quarter. He then scored the team's second-to-last touchdown when he got open in the right corner of the end zone for a six-yard score. Playing in Week 18
Perry (illness) is listed as active Sunday against the Falcons.
Analysis: Since Michael Thomas (knee) went down Week 10, Perry has played a more prominent role in the Saints offense, recording at least one catch in seven games in a row. His output (9-193-2 line on 15 targets) during that span has been nothing to write home about, and he's coming off an illness that sidelined him at Thursday's practice. Listed as questionable despite full practice
Perry (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Analysis: Perry was a full participant Friday in his return to practice, suggesting he'll likely play in the Saints' crucial Week 18 matchup. He's seen a lot of playing time but not many targets filling in for Michael Thomas (knee) the past month and a half, mostly serving as the fourth or fifth option in a passing game that also features WR Chris Olave, RB Alvin Kamara (ankle), WR Rashid Shaheed and TE Juwan Johnson (chest) as pass catchers for QB Derek Carr. Perry totaled one reception (on two targets) for five yards during Sunday's 23-13 win against the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Perry logged two targets during the second quarter, marking his only notable action in Sunday's crucial win for the Saints. The rookie out of Wake Forest has come on somewhat over the second half of the season, but he's still logged more than three targets just one this season. Hauls in late touchdown pass
Perry caught his only target for 35 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 30-22 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Perry went unnoticed for the entire night before the Saints made a late comeback that ultimately fell short in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Derek Carr threw a deep pass down the sideline for the 6-foot-4 wideout, and the rookie out of Wake Forest came down with it for a 35-yard touchdown with just under four minutes remaining. Analysis: Perry took two short passes for explosive catch-and-runs with receptions of 18 and 16 yards Sunday. The rookie wideout has had his workload and playing time increase as of late while Michael Thomas (knee) has been on IR. However, his target share didn't move much even though No. 1 wideout Chris Olave (ankle) was inactive Week 15. Analysis: Perry recorded the longest reception of his career, hauling in a 44-yard pass from quarterback Derek Carr midway through the fourth quarter. The 6-foot-4 rookie has seen starting reps over the past four games while Michael Thomas has been injured and on IR with a knee injury. Perry secured one of three targets for 30 yards in the Saints' 33-28 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: The rookie was expected to enjoy an expanded role with Rashid Shaheed (thigh) sidelined, but Perry finished a distant third in targets behind Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara. Perry now has at least one catch in three straight contests, but he'll project for an even smaller role than Sunday's if Shaheed is ready to return for a Week 14 home matchup against the Panthers.
