No catches in Week 15
Dotson finished with zero receptions on one target in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Steelers.
Analysis: The game ended a streak of six straight contests in which Dotson recorded exactly one catch. The Eagles' passing game was the primary story surrounding the team during the week, and Jalen Hurts responded with a strong performance, going 25-of-32 for 290 yards and two touchdowns, but as usual, nearly all of his looks went to his top two wideouts. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith each saw double-digit targets, while the rest of the team combined for just eight.

One grab in win
Dotson caught one of his two targets for five yards in Sunday's 22-16 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: Week 14 marked the sixth straight game in which Dotson has caught just one pass. The third-year wideout played 24 of the Eagles 58 offensive snaps, the lowest snap share of any Philadelphia wide receiver in the contest behind A.J. Brown (55), DeVonta Smith (52) and Johnny Wilson (29). With such limited playing time in a run-heavy offensive scheme, Dotson remains off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 15 matchup against the Steelers.

Fifth straight one-catch game
Dotson caught one pass for seven yards in Sunday's 24-19 win over the Ravens.
Analysis: Even with DeVonta Smith (hamstring) out of action, Dotson failed to make much of an impact, finishing with precisely one catch for the fifth straight game. The Eagles found more success on the ground than through the air, completing just 11 passes on the day.

Continues one-catch streak
Dotson caught one pass for four yards in Sunday's 37-20 win over the Rams.
Analysis: Dotson has now caught exactly one pass in four straight games. His yardage on his lone reception has decreased each week, going from 36 to 27 to eight to four. Expect a single reception for roughly one yard next week if the pattern continues.

One catch again
Dotson finished with one catch for eight yards in Thursday's win over the Commanders.
Analysis: Dotson has now finished with exactly one catch in three straight games. That's technically better than average for him this season, as he's caught nine passes through 10 games, an average of 0.9 per contest.

One long catch again
Dotson finished with one catch for 27 yards in Sunday's 34-6 win at Dallas.
Analysis: Jalen Hurts found Dotson deep down the right sideline early in the second quarter but did not look his way the rest of the game. It's the second straight week in which Dotson has finished with a single long reception. He's totaled 98 yards on eight catches in nine games played this season.

Catches one long pass
Dotson made a spectacular catch for a 36-yard gain on his only target early in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Jaguars.
Analysis: A.J. Brown left with a knee injury shortly before halftime, and Dotson received his one opportunity of the game shortly after the break, reaching over Tyson Campbell's back on a long pass down the left and tipping the ball up to himself to make the grab. Jalen Hurts didn't look Dotson's way again the rest of the game, however, and the receiver's workload may be limited again in Week 10 against the Cowboys if Brown's injury proves minor. Brown's tests came back clean after the game and he…read more

No catches in Week 8
Dotson was not targeted in Sunday's 37-17 win over Cincinnati.
Analysis: The Eagles prioritized the run on Sunday, especially after opening up a second-half lead, with Jalen Hurts attempting just 20 passes. As usual, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith soaked up most of the targets, with other Eagles combining for just six, none of which went to Dotson. The third-year wideout has just six catches in seven games this season.

No catches in big win
Dotson finished with zero catches on one target in Sunday's 28-3 win over the Giants.
Analysis: The Eagles were in control for most of the game and had enough success on the ground (269 yards) that they barely needed to rely on their passing attack, with Jalen Hurts throwing for just 114 yards on 14 attempts. The Eagles rested their starters in the fourth quarter, and while that meant more time on the field for Dotson, the team continued to rely on the ground game, with backup quarterback Kenny Pickett attempting just a single pass.

Retreats to third on depth chart
Dotson had just one catch for 10 yards on three targets in Sunday's 20-16 in over the Browns. He also rushed once for 13 yards.
Analysis: Dotson wasn't able to carve out a significant role in the Eagles' offense when injuries to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith elevated him to a starting spot earlier in the season, so it's no surprise to see his role remain small now that those two are healthy again. Dotson has a total of seven touches for 48 yards and no touches through five games this season.

Just two catches as No. 1 receiver
Dotson was targeted four times in the Eagles' Week 4 loss to the Bucs, finishing with two catches for 11 yards.
Analysis: Dotson was expected to see an expanded role as the team's top wideout in the absence of A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion), and while he did indeed see a season-high number of targets, it's hard to say he made much of an impact. The Eagles have a bye in Week 5, buying Brown and Smith an extra week to recover and push Dotson back down the depth chart.

Serving as top wideout Sunday
Dotson is in line to serve as the Eagles' No. 1 receiver for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Buccaneers with both A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) ruled out for the contest.
Analysis: Dotson has shown very little over the last two games despite Brown's absence, and he's produced just a 3-14-0 line on five targets over his first three regular-season contests overall. However, the combination of Dotson's speed, the fact he's had another week to acclimate to the Eagles' playbook following his late-August arrival via trade with the Commanders, and the expansive void the absences of Brown and Smith create could represent the perfect storm of opportunity and circumstances for…read more

Starts again, just two catches
Dotson served a starting role in Week 3 against the Saints but had just two catches for eight yards on three targets.
Analysis: Dotson again filled a larger role with A.J. Brown (hamstring) unavailable, but Jalen Hurts wound up giving double-digit targets to both Dallas Goedert and DeVonta Smith and no more than four to anyone else. Smith suffered a concussion late in Monday's game, so if both he and Brown wind up missing Week 4 against the Bucs, it's possible Dotson could see an expanded target share.

Just one catch Monday
Dotson had one reception for six yards on one target in Monday's 22-21 loss to Atlanta.
Analysis: Dotson was expected to see an increased role with star wideout A.J. Brown (hamstring) missing Monday's contest due to injury. The opposite scenario unfolded in a contest where the Eagles ran for more yards than the offense passed for against Atlanta's defense. Brown's injury is already expected to cost the No. 1 receiver multiple weeks of action, opening the door for auxiliary options like Dotson to see increased roles (despite Monday's one-catch dud). Should see added work Monday
Dotson is expected to assume a larger role in the Eagles' passing attack Monday against the Falcons with A.J. Brown (hamstring) downgraded to out, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Dotson logged 32 snaps behind Brown (72 snaps) and DeVonta Smith (76 snaps) in the Eagles' season-opening win over the Packers. According to the Eagles' official site, head coach Nick Sirianni expressed confidence in Dotson's ability to take on more meaningful snaps in Brown's absence, with Sirianni noting that he's been pleased with how the wideout has looked in practices since being acquired from the Commanders on Aug. 22. No catches in Eagles debut
Dotson finished his Eagles debut Friday against the Packers with zero catches on one target.
Analysis: Dotson was on the field for 32 offensive snaps, well ahead of fellow depth wideouts Johnny Wilson (10) and Britain Covey (9), but the only time quarterback Jalen Hurts looked his way, it nearly resulted in a pick-six. Dotson's role can only grow from here, and he's likely to be more involved once he's had more than two full weeks of practice with his new team, which acquired him from the Commanders in late August. Headed to Philadelphia
The Eagles acquired Dotson and a 2025 fifth-round pick from the Commanders on Thursday in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick and two 2025 seventh-round picks.
Analysis: Dotson joins a Philadelphia wideout corps that will continue to be led by A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. In his new locale, Dotson should serve as the team's No. 3 wideout, a role that probably won't entail much volume so long as Brown and Smith remain healthy. In 17 contests in 2023, Dotson, a 2022 first-round pick, caught 49 of his 83 targets for 518 yards and four touchdowns.

One catch in preseason loss
Dotson secured one of two targets for three yards in the Commanders' 13-6 preseason loss to the Dolphins on Saturday night.
Analysis: Dotson was on the field with Terry McLaurin and Dyami Brown to open the game, playing ahead of Olamide Zaccheaus and rookie third-round pick Luke McCaffrey. Dotson is trying to hold on to the No. 2 receiver job while also taking a lot more slot snaps than he did last year.

Not locked in as a starter
Coach Dan Quinn suggested Wednesday that Dotson hasn't locked down the No. 2 receiver job, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Quinn said the Commanders are "in the middle of" a search for their No. 2 receiver, with John Keim of ESPN.com noting that Olamide Zaccheaus has been more consistent than Dotson in training camp. This may seem surprising given that Dotson was a first-round pick in 2022 and had a promising rookie season, but he was one of the least efficient starting WRs in the league last year in terms of both per-target and per-route production. Optimistic about Kingsbury's offense
Dotson recently told reporters it's been "really nice" having a simplified approach under new offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Dotson wasn't a good fit under former offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, whose scheme emphasized screen passes and other quick throws that relied on yards after the catch. That's not Dotson's strength, nor did it help that Sam Howell was one of the least accurate QBs on deep passes. Kingsbury and No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels may prove to be better fits for Dotson, but it would still be unwise to completely ignore his 2023 struggles. Concludes disappointing 2023
Dotson finished 2023 with 49 catches for 518 yards and four touchdowns on 83 targets.
Analysis: Dotson had more yards (523) and touchdowns (seven) as a rookie in 2022 despite missing five full games and having his snaps limited in two others. He didn't miss any games in his sophomore campaign, but nearly everything else was a disappointment, including his target volume (4.9 per game) and efficiency stats (59.0 percent catch rate, 10.6 yards per catch, 6.2 yards per targe). Held catchless against 49ers
Dotson failed to reel in his lone target in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Dotson was held without a catch Sunday for the third time this season, despite playing the second most offensive snaps (39) at wideout behind Terry McLaurin (41). With a streak of underwhelming performances down the stretch this season, the veteran receiver remains an untrustworthy option for fantasy lineups heading into a Week 18 matchup with the Cowboys.

Two grabs in Week 16
Dotson caught two of four targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 30-28 loss to the Jets.
Analysis: Dotson continued his streak of underwhelming performances, as the wideout has been held out of the end zone for four straight contests and has totaled just 10 catches on 16 targets in that span. The prospect of a potential quarterback change from Sam Howell to Jacoby Brissett could provide a spark to the Washington offense, but the 23-year-old wideout will still be difficult to trust as a lineup option Week 17 against the 49ers.

Catches only target
Dotson caught his lone target for 12 yards in Sunday's 28-20 loss at the Rams.
Analysis: Washington's fourth-quarter QB switch from Sam Howell to Jacoby Brissett did wonders for Terry McLaurin, who caught three passes for 93 yards and a touchdown in the final frame. Curtis Samuel also had a big day with a pair of scores among his nine targets, while Dotson didn't see a single target until midway through the fourth quarter and now ranks third on the team in targets this season (75, 5.4 per game). Two catches in Week 13 loss
Dotson brought in two of five targets for 23 yards in the Commanders' 45-15 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Analysis: Expectations were high for another pass-heavy game for the Commanders as they attempted to keep up with the Dolphins, but for a variety of reasons, that didn't quite materialize. Sam Howell ultimately attempted just 23 passes, and Dotson tied for the team lead in targets with Curtis Samuel and Antonio Gibson. However, he did little with the opportunities, finishing with his seventh sub-30-yard tally of the season. Dotson should have a chance for more opportunities in a Week 15 road matchup…read more

Five grabs in Dallas
Dotson caught all five of his targets for 52 yards in Thursday's 45-10 loss to the Cowboys.
Analysis: While Curtis Samuel (12) and Terry McLaurin (11) saw higher target volumes, Dotson was efficient with his looks as he topped 50 receiving yards for only the third time this season. The second-year wideout has been coming on after an awful start to the year, in large part because Sam Howell is consistently attempting more than 40 passes a game, and over the last five weeks Dotson has a 20-252-3 line on 29 targets, although even that productive stretch includes one game in which he didn't catch a…read more

Finds end zone in loss
Dotson recorded three catches on four targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-19 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: Dotson improved from his Week 10 performance, during which he failed to record a catch, though his involvement in the offense Sunday was still concerning. He saw fewer than five targets for the fourth time this season and has been held under 30 receiving yards on six occasions. Dotson's fantasy day was saved by an eight-yard touchdown catch with just over two minutes remaining in the game, but it's difficult to project him for consistent production with limited volume.

Finishes with goose egg
Dotson was held without a catch on two targets in a 29-26 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
Analysis: Dotson broke out of a pronged slump with 10 catches for 177 yards and two TDs on 18 targets over the previous two weeks, but it's hard to find a silver lining for his goose egg Sunday in a game that saw QB Sam Howell throw for over 300 yards. The second-year wideout handled his usual role in terms of snap share (87 percent) and simply couldn't get anything done against one of the better CB groups in the league. Dotson (personal) wasn't listed on the Commanders' injury report Thursday.

Dotson missed practice Wednesday for personal reasons but is expected to return Thursday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.

Two-game TD streak after slow start
Dotson caught four of eight targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Dotson tied the score at 17-17 with a 33-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter. He led the Commanders in targets while finishing one catch and four receiving yards shy of Terry McLaurin's team-leading totals. After posting just 183 yards and one touchdown through seven games, Dotson has 177 yards and two touchdowns in his last two. He'll look to stay hot in Week 10 against the Seahawks.

Dotson also recorded his second touchdown grab of the season for good measure, finding the end zone from 21 yards out early in the second quarter. Another quiet outing
Dotson caught five of eight targets for 43 yards in a 14-7 loss to the Giants on Sunday.
Analysis: It was better than his one-target, zero-catch outing the week before and technically represents a season-high for yardage, but Dotson still hasn't reached 50 yards in a game this season or done much of anything to help fantasy managers. He ran a team-high 42 routes, suggesting his starting job is still safe, but the big plays from last year (14.9 YPR, seven TDs in 12 games) have completely dried up. Blanked in Week 6 win
Dotson failed to bring in his only target in the Commanders' 24-16 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Analysis: The speedster saw Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel combine for 10 receptions, 123 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets, making his lack of production all the more glaring. There were hopes that Dotson and fellow second-year pro Sam Howell would embark on parallel, interconnected tracks of success during the 2023 season, but the former sports a modest 17-140-1 line on 31 targets through six games and has been under 40 receiving yards in five consecutive contests. Analysis: Dotson took a step forward the previous week with his first TD and a season-high nine targets, though he caught only four of the passes for 27 yards and has now put another weak receiving line in the books. While technically just one target behind Terry McLaurin (31) for the team lead this year, Dotson has been one of the less efficient starting wideouts in the league (56.7 percent catch rate, 8.2 yards per catch) and is one of four Commanders in the range of 14-to-18 percent target share. Expected to play Thursday
Dotson (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Bears.
Analysis: Dotson is good to go for a favorable matchup against a Chicago defense that has allowed 34.3 points per game through the first four weeks of the season. The 2022 first-round draft pick finally scored his first touchdown of the season in last week's loss to the Eagles after finding the end zone seven times in 12 games as a rookie. Dotson (ankle) was a limited participant at Tuesday's practice.
Analysis: Dotson maintained limited practice participation for the second day in a row, after he was previously listed as limited during Monday's walkthrough session. The Commanders haven't suggested that Dotson is dealing with a major injury, but the team is facing a quick turnaround ahead of Thursday night's matchup with the Bears. Catches clutch TD in OT loss
Dotson caught four of nine targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles.
Analysis: The second-year wideout continued his early-season struggles into the second half, but Dotson came up big when it mattered most, getting free in the end zone and catching a 10-yard TD strike from Sam Howell as time expired to force the extra quarter. Dotson brought in two of four targets for 21 yards in the Commanders' 37-3 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
Analysis: Dotson was largely held in check by an aggressive Bills defense that made the Commanders' air attack a check-down fest for the most part by pressuring Sam Howell relentlessly. Dotson finished with three receptions on five targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 35-33 win over Denver.
Analysis: Dotson turned in another lackluster fantasy line following last week's 40-yard output. The second-year receiver has yet to find the end zone after posting seven touchdowns in 12 games as a rookie last year. Dotson has maintained regular playing time during his slow start, seeing 12 targets through two games. The production should come so long as his role isn't reduced, so frustrated managers in deeper formats should remain patient with the 2022 first-round pick as the Commanders prepare to host…read more

Five grabs against Cards
Dotson caught five of seven targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: The Commanders' passing game wasn't particularly productive on the afternoon, but Dotson tied Curtis Samuel for the team lead in receptions. The 2022 first-round pick showed a nose for the end zone as a rookie with seven TDs in 12 games, and if Patrick Surtain matches up with Terry McLaurin during a Week 2 clash, Dotson could add to that total against a Broncos secondary that got torched for two touchdowns by Jakobi Meyers in its season opener.

Leads starters with 76 yards
Dotson caught five of seven targets for 76 yards in Monday's preseason game against Baltimore.
Analysis: Washington's first-team offense played the entire first half, putting up 17 points on four drives with QB Sam Howell throwing for 188 yards and two TDs. Dotson was the only player to see more than four targets in the half, and he accounted for 40 percent of Howell's yardage while doing his damage on short and intermediate throws. The 2022 first-round pick was more of a big-play threat than a volume guy as a rookie, though that changed somewhat over the final month of the season, portending a…read more

Finds end zone Friday
Dotson caught both his targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason win over the Browns.
Analysis: Washington's starters on offense were on the field for three drives, and Dotson ended his night in style by hauling in a 26-yard TD strike from Sam Howell on the last one. The Penn State product could be headed for a breakout second season in the NFL, as Dotson had already demonstrated his nose for the end zone by catching four touchdowns in his first four games in 2022 before injuries derailed his rookie campaign.

Confident entering Year 2
Dotson told reporters Thursday that he has "all the confidence in the world" heading into his second NFL season.
Analysis: The 2022 first-round pick is one off the stronger candidates for a second-year fantasy breakout, coming off a rookie season in which he scored seven touchdowns in 12 games and accrued 66 percent of his yardage and 57 percent of his targets over the final five weeks. Quarterback play remains a potential problem in Washington, but Dotson doesn't see it that way and has relayed optimism about QB Sam Howell multiple times this offseason. Solid numbers to wrap up season
Dotson caught three of four targets for 72 yards in Sunday's 26-6 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Sam Howell was making his first career start at quarterback and attempted only 19 passes, but Dotson was still able to flash his big-play ability. The 2022 first-round pick completes his first NFL season with 35 catches on 61 targets for 523 yards and seven TDs, and while Dotson took a back seat to Terry McLaurin in 2022, the duo could be on more equal footing in the Washington passing game next year -- whether Howell, or a veteran import, is slinging balls their way.

Held to three catches
Dotson caught three of seven targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Dotson tied TE Logan Thomas for the team lead in targets but lost a three-game TD streak with QB Carson Wentz struggling badly in his return to the starting role. It remains to be seen if Wentz or Taylor Heinicke will start Week 18 against Dallas, with the latter seemingly a better option when it comes to fantasy value for Dotson and Terry McLaurin.

Team-high nine targets plus score
Dotson finished with six receptions on nine targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 37-20 loss to San Francisco.
Analysis: Dotson kept his hot streak rolling with his third touchdown in as many weeks. The 22-year-old ran a crisp corner route to the back pylon for a short score in the second quarter, showing fantasy managers that he is more than just an outside deep threat. Dotson's targets have ballooned during his recent run of strong play, as he's racked up a team-high 24 targets over Washington's last three games. Coming on strong late in year
Dotson caught four of six targets for 105 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: Dotson was the unexpected star of Washington's aerial attack Sunday, posting the first 100-yard game of his career under the lights of Sunday Night Football. This standout performance comes on the heels of another strong fantasy line (5/54/1), indicating that the rookie has shaken off the rust after a slow start since returning from injured reserve in Week 10. Reemerges with late TD
Dotson caught five of nine targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-20 tie with the Giants.
Analysis: Dotson scored the tying TD from 28 yards out with just under two minutes remaining in regulation, his first real highlight since returning from injured reserve Week 10. He was targeted only four times his first three games back despite playing at least 34 snaps in each contest, as Washington's offense focused more on Terry McLaurin and the running backs. Dotson was targeted once and didn't catch any passes in Sunday's 19-13 win over Atlanta.
Analysis: Dotson played more than 60 percent of snaps for a second straight week but has been targeted only four times in three games since missing more than a month with a hamstring injury. The Washington offense has become much more run-oriented since the early part of the season when Dotson scored four TDs in his first four games, and Terry McLaurin has taken on a larger share of the targets ever since Taylor Heinicke took over at quarterback. Produces another dud Sunday
Dotson caught one of two targets for 13 yards and rushed once for three yards in Sunday's 23-10 win over the Texans.
Analysis: In Dotson's second game back from a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury, he was held in check by a Houston secondary missing 2022 third overall pick Derek Stingley (hamstring). After a hot start to begin his NFL career, including four scores in his first four games, Dotson has managed just two receptions for 27 yards over Washington's last two contests with Taylor Heinicke under center. Limited role in return
Dotson (hamstring) hauled in his lone target for a 14-yard reception in Monday's 32-21 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: In his return from a five-game absence, Dotson didn't start but still finished third among Commanders receivers in snaps, albeit by a small margin. He was on the field for 34 of the Commanders' 83 offensive snaps (40 percent), trailing both Terry McLaurin (86 percent) and Curtis Samuel (64 percent) and narrowly outpacing Cam Sims (33 percent) for fourth place. He thus looks on track to play in Monday's game against the Eagles after missing the Commanders' last five games with a hamstring strain and a related setback. Out this week, could return Week 10
Dotson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Minnesota, but coach Ron Rivera said the team hopes to get the wideout back next week, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Dotson hasn't practiced since suffering a setback Oct. 20, and the Commanders will turn to Cam Sims and/or Dyami Brown for at least one more game in the No. 3 receiver role. A return to practice next week wouldn't necessarily equate to playing in the Week 10 matchup with Philadelphia, but it'd be a good place for the rookie to start. He does have an extra day to get ready with the team's next contest set to be played on a Monday.

Dotson (hamstring) isn't taking part in Thursday's practice, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Dotson hasn't practiced in any capacity since he reportedly aggravated his hamstring injury during a limited showing in the Commanders' Oct. 20 session. He missed two games prior to the aggravation and now looks to be trending toward a fifth consecutive absence this Sunday, when the team hosts the Vikings. Dotson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis: With Dotson out another week, it'll be either Cam Sims or Dyami Brown (questionable - groin) getting most of the WR snaps alongside Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel in the three-wide formations that comprise most of Washington's offense. Unlikely to play Sunday
Coach Ron Rivera said Thursday that he doesn't expect Dotson (hamstring) to be available for Sunday's contest at Indianapolis, Pete Hailey of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Analysis: Dotson hasn't logged any game action since Week 4, and he recently aggravated his hamstring concern, per Craig Hoffman of 106.7 The Fan Washington, so the rookie wide receiver appears to be a few weeks from returning, at least. Still, Dotson's status should be monitored, as he may be ruled out for Week 8 as soon as the release of Friday's injury report. Dotson reportedly aggravated his hamstring injury during Thursday's practice. Dotson (hamstring) officially was limited at practice Thursday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Dotson made an early exit from the second session of Week 7 prep after running a route and was looked at by team trainers. Riding a stationary bike was his only activity thereafter, and he went down as a limited participant for a second consecutive day. The rookie first-round pick is attempting to come back from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury, but Thursday's event could be a setback in that regard. Dotson (hamstring) was looked at by trainers following one of his routes during Thursday's practice, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Afterward, Dotson -- who had been progressing well from a hamstring issue -- was spotted riding a stationary bike on the sideline, per Keim. Dotson (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Dyami Brown (quadriceps) caught two touchdown passes while filling in for Dotson in Week 5 but then played just three snaps Week 6 while dealing with the injury. Cam Sims had a much quieter stint in the No. 3 receiver role, a job that eventually will be handed back to Dotson, potentially as soon as this Sunday against the Packers. Establishing chemistry already
Dotson has been a standout at OTAs and is already establishing trust with quarterback Carson Wentz, Bijan Todd of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Analysis: Dotson has consistently gotten open and become one of Wentz's favorite targets at OTAs, according to Ethan Cadeaux of NBC Sports. Top wideout Terry McLaurin hasn't been participating in offseason activities due to dissatisfaction with his current deal, so Dotson will have plenty of opportunities to continue establishing a rapport with Wentz.
