Records fourth 1,000-yard season
Chase reeled in seven of his 13 targets for 75 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Chase has his fantasy managers off to a great start for No-Loss November with staggering totals of 25 receptions, 482 yards and five touchdowns in just three games this calendar month. The 24-year-old also clinched his fourth 1,000-yard season in as many years as a pro Sunday. The Bengals welcomed back Tee Higgins (9-148-1) in this contest, and both star wideouts thrived playing off of each other with 13 targets apiece. With Cincinnati on a bye in Week 12, Chase will continue to add to his…read more

Elite performance in loss
Chase secured 11 of 17 targets for 264 yards and three touchdowns in the Bengals' 35-34 loss to the Ravens on Thursday night.
Analysis: In what was a season-best performance, Chase fell just short of eclipsing his own 266-yard franchise record set back during his 2021 rookie campaign. The star wideout had already burned the Ravens for a 10-193-2 tally in Week 5, but Chase was on a different level Thursday while scoring from 67, 70 and five yards out in the second half. Chase's final scoring grab came with just 38 seconds remaining and left Cincinnati just a point shy of tying the game at 35-35, but head coach Zac Taylor opted…read more

Held in check by Raiders
Chase secured seven of 11 targets for 43 yards in the Bengals' 41-24 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
Analysis: Chase led the Bengals in receptions and targets but could do little with his opportunities, finishing with his second-lowest yardage total of the season. He's uncharacteristically posted 55 receiving yards or fewer in three straight contests, but he also has back-to-back 11-target tallies heading into a Week 10 road matchup Thursday night versus a Ravens team he put up a season-best 10-193-2 line against in Week 5.

Busy day in loss
Chase secured nine of 11 targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 37-17 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
Analysis: With Tee Higgins (quadriceps) sidelined, Chase was unsurprisingly heavily involved and did record a touchdown for the second straight game on a two-yard grab with just under five minutes remaining in the first quarter. He also led the Bengals in receptions and targets with figures that qualified as his second highest of the season while also checking in as the runner-up in receiving yards to tight end Mike Gesicki. Chase next draws a tantalizing matchup against a vulnerable Raiders defense in a…read more

Saves day with touchdown
Chase recorded five receptions on six targets for 55 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Browns. He added one rush for 11 yards.
Analysis: The Bengals had little pressure to perform offensively to walk away with a win against the Browns, limiting the overall passing volume. However, Chase continued to lag behind Tee Higgins in target volume, likely due to the attention he's received from opposing defenses. Chase did manage a few splash plays of 18 and 17 yards -- the former of which went for a touchdown. He now has fewer than 75 receiving yards in four of seven games on the campaign, though his six touchdowns have made him an…read more

Modest showing against Giants
Chase recorded five receptions on six targets for 72 yards in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Giants.
Analysis: Chase entered the game on an impressive three-game tear, during which he combined to record 19 receptions for 396 yards and five scores. He found much less room to work against the Giants, who consistently got pressure on Joe Burrow, which led to a lackluster performance for the Bengals' entire passing offense. Despite the relative disappointment, Chase still managed an impressive 37-yard catch late in the third quarter to help his stat line.

Another two-TD effort Sunday
Chase caught 10 of 12 targets for 193 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 41-38 overtime loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: It was Chase's best single-game performance since he dropped a 15-192-3 line on the Cardinals in Week 5 of last season. The fourth-year wideout has found his groove after a sluggish start to the current campaign, catching 19 of 25 targets for 396 yards and five TDs over the last three games, and Chase isn't likely to slow down any time soon with the Bengals' defense playing so poorly and forcing Joe Burrow to air it out. Long TD makes day
Chase recorded three catches on six targets for 85 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Panthers.
Analysis: Chase was surprisingly relatively uninvolved in the offense, as Tee Higgins drew 10 targets and also led the team in receptions. However, Chase had the most impactful performance of the day thanks primarily to a 63-yard touchdown, during which he bounced off at least three potential tacklers over the middle of the field before sprinting down the sideline for the long score. After a modest start to the season, Chase has nine receptions for 203 yards and three touchdowns combined across the last…read more

Logs full practice Thursday
Chase (shoulder) practiced fully Thursday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: On Wednesday's estimated practice report, Chase was listed as limited due to a shoulder issue, but after logging a full session a day later, the star wideout is on track to face the Panthers on Sunday to the relief of his fantasy managers. Through three games to start the season, Chase leads the Bengals with 16 catches (on 18 targets) for 215 yards and two TDs.

Limited on practice estimate
Chase was listed as limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report due to a shoulder injury, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Bengals held a walk-through session Wednesday, but if they had actually practiced, Chase's reps would have been capped. More information about the wideout's status should emerge when the Bengals practice again Thursday, but so far, no reports have suggested that Chase is in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Breaks out in big way Monday
Chase hauled in six of seven targets for 118 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns in Monday's 38-33 loss to Washington.
Analysis: Chase teamed up with fellow LSU Tiger Joe Burrow to put up monster fantasy lines in a narrow defeat on Monday Night Football. The superstar wideout had been stymied in his first two appearances of 2024, the sum of which (97 yards and no touchdowns) fails to match Monday's output alone. With a signature game in the books, Chase's offseason contract drama seems like a distant memory as the receiver looks to build off this performance in Week 4 against the Panthers.

Receives all of defense's attention
Chase was limited to four receptions (five targets) for 35 yards in Sunday's 26-25 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: Chase was constantly bracketed by safety help all game long with Tee Higgins (hamstring) remaining sidelined due to injury. The Bengals' offense sputtered against a challenging defensive unit Sunday, but Chase's fantasy managers should not get any crazy ideas when setting lineups for the upcoming slate of games in Week 3. There is a good chance that the superstar wideout finally breaks out against a younger Washington defensive unit on Monday Night Football.

Six catches in season-opening loss
Chase secured all six targets for 62 yards in the Bengals' 16-10 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Analysis: The standout receiver couldn't parlay what was once an unlikely Week 1 appearance into a truly fruitful fantasy day, but Chase did set the pace for the Bengals in receptions and receiving yards while also tying for the team lead in targets. His outlook heading into the contest was decidedly murky, considering he'd been dealing with an illness, had practiced only a handful of times since the start of training camp and was still without the contract extension that had caused his summer-long…read more

Chase (illness) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Analysis: According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Chase is not expected to reach agreement with the Bengals on a contract extension prior to Sunday's season opener, but that didn't deter Cincinnati from making the wideout active for Week 1. Feeling better, could play Sunday
Chase (rest/illness) remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots, but he showed improvement late Saturday and could be available for the Bengals' season opener, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Though Chase is still seeking a long-term contract extension with the Bengals, he ended his "hold-in" at practice and took part in workouts as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday before upgrading to full activity Friday. He termed himself as a game-time decision following Friday's practice before he woke up ill Saturday, adding another potential complication to his availability leading into the season opener. Dealing with illness
Chase (rest), who remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots, had an illness added to his injury status Saturday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Chase has deployed a "hold-in" strategy off and on throughout training camp and the preseason due to a contract dispute with the Bengals and suggested Friday that he will decide whether he can play Sunday. The fact that Chase is now dealing with an illness is another complicating factor, though the severity of the ailment isn't known. Chase (non-injury related/rest) practiced fully Friday but remains listed as questionable for Sunday's contest versus the Patriots, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: The ongoing situation between Chase and the Bengals could be closing in on a resolution, as he told Ben Baby of ESPN.com on Friday that there's "a small chance" the two sides may agree to a contract extension, "but who knows what'll happen then, these next couple hours?" Questionable for Sunday
Chase (non-injury related/rest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Analysis: Chase missed a good portion of training camp and the entire preseason while in the midst of a contract hold-in, and his on-field work was limited Wednesday and Thursday as he awaits a resolution. He intimated Friday that he and the Bengals may be close to a new deal, but he also called himself a "game-time decision" for Sunday's contest, per Kevin Patra of NFL.com. Could be game-time call
Chase indicated Friday that a contract resolution may be in reach, while suggesting that he's a "game-time decision" for Sunday's season opener against the Patriots, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Analysis: Look for added context to arrive as the day progresses, but Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer relays that Chase acknowledged that he'd probably be limited if he does play Sunday. For his part, when asked about the Week 1 status of both Chase and Tee Higgins (hamstring), coach Zac Taylor told Hobson, "We'll see."

Another limited practice
Chase (not injury-related/rest) was listed as limited at practice Thursday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Back-to-back practice appearances, in any capacity, on the part of Chase -- who is seeking a new contract with the Bengals -- are no doubt a positive sign, but according to Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer, at this stage coach Zac Taylor won't confirm whether Chase is expected to play in Sunday's season opener against the Patriots. With that in mind, Conway notes that the Bengals and Chase are taking this "day-to-day" in the hopes of working something out before the end of the week.

Chase was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday due to rest, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The main takeaway is that Chase is healthy and back on the field, after missing nearly all of Cincinnati's practices over the past six weeks while his agent and the team tried to reach terms on a long-term contract. Chase returned to practice Wednesday amid ongoing contract negotiations, Paul Dehner of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Chase had resumed practicing with teammates by the end of August before sitting out Cincinnati's most recent three sessions, so his presence Wednesday seems like a step in the right direction. Chase was spotted in uniform ahead of Wednesday's practice, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: The extent of Chase's participation in practice won't be known until later Wednesday, when the Bengals release their first injury report of 2024. In any case, the wideout's initial presence prior to the session is a positive indicator. Cincinnati has three practices scheduled ahead of Sunday's season opener against the Patriots.

Analysis: Per Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Chase was present for the beginning of the session, though not in uniform. The Bengals won't have to release an official practice/injury report before Wednesday, but with the team's season opener quickly approaching, the wideout's status will need to be monitored closely ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff against the Patriots. The head coach also said Wednesday that he "spoke too quickly" when stating that he expected Chase to be available Week 1 versus New England. Uncertain for Week 1
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Wednesday that he probably "spoke too quickly" a day earlier when he mentioned that he expected Chase (contract dispute) to play Week 1 against New England, Charlie Clifford of WLWT 5 Cincinnati reports.
Analysis: Chase practiced Sunday for the first time this summer, but he's now back to observational mode in street clothes as of Wednesday. Taylor used the term "day-to-day" when reporters asked him about the wideout after Wednesday's practice, noting that he'll "look forward to getting [Chase] back, hopefully at some point soon." Chase is present at Wednesday's practice but only as an observer in street clothes, adding the latest layer of intrigue 12 days before Cincinnati's season opener. Expected to suit up Week 1
Coach Zac Taylor said Tuesday that he expects Chase (contract dispute) to suit up for Cincinnati's regular-season opener against the Patriots on Sunday, Sept. 8, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Chase had previously abstained from practicing at all in training camp amid ongoing contract negotiations with the Bengals, but the star wideout suited up alongside teammates at practice Sunday for the first time. Aside from a week-long absence mid-August, Chase at least had been present at practice on the sidelines, and he now has just under two weeks remaining to ramp up before suiting up against New England in Week 1. Analysis: Chase has yet to actually participate in practice in training camp, but until Tuesday he'd been present every day while in street clothes. Analysis: One of the many star wideouts across the league looking for a new contract, Chase is following Brandon Aiyuk's lead and "holding in" at Bengals camp. He's observed workouts from the side each of the first two days of training camp. Analysis: Chase seems to be opting for a "hold-in" rather than a holdout, as he's shown up for mandatory minicamp but is participating only in walkthroughs and team meetings. The star wideout likely doesn't want to risk an injury while his agent is negotiating a contract extension, so it'll be interesting to see what approach he takes if he's unable to strike an agreement on a new deal before the start of training camp in late July. Fifth-year option picked up
The Bengals exercised Chase's $21.82 million team option for 2025 on Wednesday.
Analysis: Cincinnati's decision to exercise the fifth-year option on Chase's rookie contract comes as little surprise with the 24-year-old having emerged as one of the NFL's top receivers since getting drafted with the No. 5 overall pick in 2021. During this past season, Chase recorded a career-high 100 catches (on 145 targets) for 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns over 16 games.

Reaches 100 catches in finale
Chase caught four of six targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 31-14 win over the Browns. He finishes the season with 100 catches on 145 targets for 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns.
Analysis: Chase took a back seat in the season finale to Joe Mixon and Andrei Iosivas, who scored two touchdowns apiece. The star wideout battled a shoulder injury down the stretch, and playing without Joe Burrow (wrist) after Week 11 didn't help matters, but Chase still posted the first 100-catch season of his three-year career. With Burrow expected back healthy next season, Chase should remain among the first few wide receivers off the board in fantasy drafts.

Opens Week 18 with limited practice
Chase (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Chase sat out the Bengals' Week 16 loss to the Steelers while recovering from an AC joint sprain to his right shoulder, and while he returned to action for this past Sunday's 25-17 loss to the Chiefs, he was held to three catches for 41 yards. The Bengals have been eliminated from playoff contention and thus don't have much reason to push their star receiver, but Chase's limited participation Wednesday suggests he's planning to try and play in Sunday's season finale against the Browns.

Held to three catches
Chase recorded three receptions on seven targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 25-17 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: Chase returned from a one-game absence caused by a shoulder injury, and he managed to tie for the team lead in targets. However, outside of a 24-yard reception on the team's second offensive possession, he was erased from making an impact on the game. With the Bengals now eliminated from playoff contention, the team may opt to protect Chase's health and either rest him or limit his snaps in a Week 18 matchup against the Browns.

Back in action Sunday
Chase (shoulder) is listed as active Sunday in Kansas City.
Analysis: After Chase sustained what was eventually confirmed to be an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder back in Week 15 against the Vikings, coach Zac Taylor called the wide receiver day-to-day. The forecast dimmed within days, though, and Taylor ruled Chase out ahead of a Week 16 matchup with the Steelers. Chase finally returned to practice Thursday as a limited participant, maintaining that activity level one day later before the Bengals deemed him questionable for Week 17 action. Appears likely to play Sunday
Chase (shoulder) remains listed as questionable but looks likely to play in Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Adam Schefter of ESPN supports the notion that Chase is on track to make his return from a one-game absence due to a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, though the wideout is expected to see how he feels during a pregame workout before the Bengals verify that he'll play. After sitting out last week's loss to Pittsburgh, Chase remained a spectator for practice Wednesday before returning to the field for limited sessions Thursday and Friday while also taking part in Saturday's walkthrough.…read more

Status in question for Week 17
Chase (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Kansas City, Jay Morrison of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: Chase got back on the practice field Thursday as a limited participant and maintained that activity level one day later as he seeks to put an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder in the rearview mirror. When asked about Chase's prospects for Week 17, coach Zac Taylor told Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site, "We'll see in the next 48 hours." Chase thus may be subject to a pregame workout to get a sense of where he stands before the team makes a decision on his status about 90 minutes…read more

Chase (shoulder) was a limited participant in his return to practice Thursday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: For the first time since suffering an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder in the Bengals' Week 15 win over the Vikings, Chase was able to get back on the practice field, albeit with a cap on his reps. In any case, Chase looks to be trending in the right direction as Sunday's game against the Chiefs approaches. Chase (shoulder) took the field for Thursday's practice, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Chase didn't practice Wednesday, so his looming participation a day later is a step in the right direction in advance of Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Chase (shoulder) isn't practicing Wednesday, but he was spotted working out on the rehab field with the Bengals' training staff, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Chase sat out Saturday's loss to the Steelers and is in danger of missing this Sunday's game at Kansas City, though head coach Zac Taylor said Wednesday that the wideout is making progress in his recovery from a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, per Ben Baby of ESPN.com. Rookie Andrei Iosivas took on most of the snaps alongside Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd in Week 16, with veteran Trenton Irwin operating as the No. 4 receiver.

May sit out Week 17, too
Chase (shoulder), who is inactive Saturday at Pittsburgh, may be in danger of sitting out the Bengals' Week 17 game Dec. 31 in Kansas City, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Chase didn't practice at all during Week 16 prep due to the AC joint sprain that he sustained in his right shoulder last Saturday against the Vikings. It thus came as no surprise that the Bengals ruled him out for this Saturday's game, and Rapoport reported that Chase's injury is "more of the 2-to-4 week variety." Chase thus seems more likely to return Week 18 or even in the wild-card round, assuming Cincinnati secures a playoff spot.

Won't play Saturday
Head coach Zac Taylor has ruled Chase (shoulder) out for Saturday's game against the Steelers, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Analysis: Per Hobson, Taylor noted Thursday that Chase will be viewed as week-to-week, which clouds the wideout's status for the Bengals' Dec. 31 contest against the Chiefs. In Chase's absence for Week 16, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd will serve as the Bengals' top two options at receiver, while Andrei Iosivas, Trenton Irwin and Charlie Jones serve as depth options behind them.

Chase (shoulder) wasn't in uniform for Thursday's practice, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Conway notes that Chase -- who didn't practice Tuesday or Wednesday -- was present for Thursday's session. However, with the wideout not in uniform Thursday, he appears set to go down as a non-participant on a third consecutive practice report, making him unlikely to suit up Saturday versus the Steelers. Chase (shoulder) remained sidelined at practice Wednesday, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Chase remained sidelined for the Bengals' first practice of the week Tuesday and has just one more chance to log some on-field reps ahead of Saturday's game against the Steelers. At this stage, the wideout is trending toward sitting out Week 16, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network suggests that Chase could be at risk of missing the Bengals' Week 17 game in Kansas City, too. Taylor clarified the nature of the injury Sunday, calling it an AC joint sprain in Chase's right shoulder. Expected to miss time
Chase (shoulder) is expected to miss the Bengals' Week 16 matchup with the Steelers and potentially more time beyond that, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Chase suffered an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder during Saturday's 27-24 overtime win over the Vikings. While he has not officially been ruled out for Week 16, that is the expectation. Should the star pass catcher indeed sit out, Tee Higgins would slide into the No. 1 receiver role with Tyler Boyd as the second option for quarterback Jake Browning.

Day-to-day with shoulder injury
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Sunday that Chase is considered day-to-day due to an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Chase sustained the injury during Saturday's 27-24 overtime win over the Vikings, and the wideout's status will now need to be monitored closely ahead of the Bengals' Dec. 23 contest against the Steelers. Chase sustained a separated shoulder during Saturday's 27-24 overtime win against the Vikings, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Chase injured his right shoulder late in the Bengals' Week 15 matchup and was unable to return, finishing with four catches (on four targets) for 64 yards. After his departure, he was seen with a wrap of some sort on the shoulder while in street clothes. Chase didn't return to Saturday's 27-24 overtime win over the Vikings after exiting with a right shoulder injury.

Shut down in Week 14 win
Chase secured three of four targets for 29 yards in the Bengals' 34-14 win over the Colts on Sunday.
Analysis: Chase tied with multiple teammates for the team lead in receptions and targets, but he was a distant fourth in receiving yards. The star wideout saw Jake Browning distribute the ball to nine different players overall, leaving Chase with his second-lowest yardage tally of the campaign. Sunday's disappointing day aside, Chase has already demonstrated plenty of rapport with Browning, so the receiver's fantasy prospects remain high in a Week 15 home matchup versus the Vikings.

Chase elaborated: "I 100 percent mean that. I just want him to be 100 percent healthy to play. I don't want him rushing nothing. I don't want people in his ear telling him to play at a certain time. I just want him to be healthy."
Analysis: Chase has his own experience recovering from an injury and taking the extra week after being technically cleared to play. He took one extra week to rest when the Bengals played the Titans (and they won anyway) in Week 12 last season in order to allow him to be 100 percent down the stretch.

Six catches not enough in loss
Chase caught six of eight targets for 75 yards in Sunday's 23-20 AFC Championship Game loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: Chase finished three targets and eight receiving yards shy of Tee Higgins' team-leading totals, and the former also was held out of the end zone for the first time this postseason while Higgins scored his first touchdown of the playoffs. The fifth overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft again was brilliant in his second NFL campaign, needing only 12 games to rack up 1,046 yards and nine TDs in the regular season before adding 220 yards and two more scores in three playoff games.

Scores in big win
Chase caught five of eight targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Bills in the AFC divisional round. He also rushed once for three yards.
Analysis: Chase started the scoring with a 28-yard touchdown to cap Cincinnati's opening drive. The wideout had another touchdown grab overturned later in the game, but Chase still led the Bengals in receiving. Thanks to Sunday's win, he'll now prepare for next weekend's showdown with the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Chase returned from injury to face Kansas City in Week 13 of the regular season and finished with seven catches for 97 yards in a 27-24 victory.

Finds end zone in playoff win
Chase caught nine of 12 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 wild-card round win over the Ravens.
Analysis: Chase was unstoppable early on, catching all six of his targets for 52 yards across Cincinnati's first two drives, the latter of which he capped with a seven-yard touchdown to take a 9-0 lead. The Ravens controlled time of possession thereafter and did a better job of containing Chase, but the star receiver's early contributions proved vital in the nail-biting win. Chase and the Bengals will travel to Buffalo in the AFC divisional round.

Dominates opportunity in Week 18
Chase recorded eight receptions on 13 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-16 win over Baltimore.
Analysis: Chase earned double-digit targets for the fourth consecutive game, and he nearly doubled up Tyler Boyd, who finished second on the team with seven looks. Chase displayed some big-play ability, highlighted by a 26-yard touchdown catch as well as big gains of 20 and 17 yards. Mixed results
Chase had eight catches for 79 yards in Sunday's win over the Patriots, but he also lost a critical fumble in the second half and was the target on an interception by Marcus Jones that was returned for a touchdown.
Analysis: The pick-six was a result of a cross-up between Chase and Joe Burrow, as Chase continued a go-route while Burrow threw a back-shoulder play. Chas has posted at least seven catches and 60 yards in all four games since returning from a hip injury.

Grabs eighth touchdown in win
Chase had seven receptions (13 targets) for 60 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-23 win over the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Chase was bottled up for the majority of this contest before Joe Burrow found his favorite target for a short score in fourth quarter. It wasn't the most efficient use of 13 targets from the star wideout, but the touchdown put a bow on a solid point total for managers in the thick of the fantasy playoffs. Keys Bengals win
Chase had 10 catches for 119 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Browns. He also had one carry for six yards.
Analysis: Chase was operating without Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Tyler Boyd (finger) essentially for the entire game, after Boyd got hurt on the first pass attempt in the first quarter. Nevertheless, the Browns couldn't find a way to stop Chase. He was sacked once on an attempted trick play, losing nine yards - make sure to watch how your stat provider handles that play in terms of your fantasy scoring.

Chase caught seven passes for 97 yards in the Bengals' 27-24 win over the Chiefs on Sunday.

Analysis: Chase, who returned to a full practice Friday, is thus slated to return to game action for the first time since Week 7, with the wideout having suffered a hip injury in Cincinnati's Week 6 win over the Saints. No limitations expected
Chase (hip), who remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Chiefs, isn't likely to have any snap-count limitations in his return from a four-game absence, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: According to Wolfe, the Bengals plan on keeping an eye on Chase as the game rolls along, but so long he doesn't tweak his right hip during the contest, he looks like he'll be on the field for nearly every offensive down in his return to the lineup. Chase has logged snap shares between 86 and 100 percent in his seven appearances to date, compiling 47 receptions for 605 yards and six touchdowns on 74 targets in the process. Analysis: According to Hobson, Chase noted earlier Wednesday that his injured hip feels good enough to play at least "some reps" Sunday against the Chiefs, and his continued participation in practice supports that notion. However, the star wideout will be held out once again Sunday and will thus target a potential return to action next weekend when Cincinnati faces Kansas City at home. A final word on Chase's status still isn't expected to come until 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, when the Bengals will release their inactive list. Analysis: Given the initial prognosis was the dynamic receiver would likely miss at least four weeks after suffering a hip injury, this is certainly an interesting announcement. He reached the end zone from 41 and 32 yards, which accounted for the majority of his production. Analysis: No player has ever hit 2,000 yards in a season, though Cooper Kupp came close in the first year with the NFL's 17-game schedule (1,947). It won't be too surprising if someone does it in the next few years, with Chase, Jefferson and Kupp being the prime candidates to achieve the feat in 2022. They're also the consensus first-round fantasy picks among wide receivers, with many drafts featuring all three in the top five selections. Chase turned 128 targets into 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns as a…read more

Solid in Super Bowl loss
Chase recorded five receptions on eight targets for 89 yards in Sunday's 23-20 Super Bowl LVI loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Chase was overshadowed by Tee Higgins' two-touchdown performance, though he still delivered explosive plays of his own. He set up Cincinnati's first points of the game when he hauled in a 46-yard reception after beating Jalen Ramsey down the right sideline. Chase also added a 17-yard catch on the final drive of the game as the team was pushing down the field in an effort to attempt a game-tying field goal. Despite the disappointing loss, Chase was excellent throughout the postseason by topping…read more

Grabs touchdown
Chase recorded six receptions on nine targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game.
Analysis: Chase was blanketed throughout the day and was unable to find much room for big gains. However, he still managed a 22-yard reception to help set up a field goal early in the third quarter. He followed that up with a two-yard touchdown reception one possession later, winning a jump ball in the back corner of the end zone. Chase is sure to be the focal point of either the Rams or 49ers defense in the Super Bowl, but he has either 100 receiving yards or a touchdown in all three of Cincinnati's…read more

Explosive in victory
Chase recorded five receptions on six targets for 109 yards in Saturday's 19-16 divisional-round win over the Titans.
Analysis: The Titans were focused on slowing Chase, and that showed in his relatively limited target volume. However, he made the most of each of his opportunities to post another big stat line. His performance began with a 57-yard gain midway through the first quarter on a catch at the line of scrimmage that he quickly turned upfield while evading several defenders. Chase also set up the game-winning field goal with a 19-yard reception with only 20 seconds remaining in the game. He'll head into the AFC…read more

Dominant playoff debut
Chase caught nine passes for 116 yards on 12 targets and ran for 23 yards on three carries against Las Vegas on Saturday.
Analysis: Be it the regular season or playoffs, Chase has proven himself a uniquely productive player who holds top-shelf fantasy value. Chase was heavily involved early for Cincinnati and spearheaded its initial offensive attack in a game the Bengals went on to win 26-19. Tee Higgins (one 10-yard catch on four targets) will normally claim a bigger share of the Cincinnati passing game than he did against the Raiders, but both players have shown the ability to shine when the spotlight lands on them.

Sets franchise record in cameo
Chase brought in two of four targets for 26 yards in the Bengals' 21-16 loss to the Browns on Sunday.
Analysis: The star rookie was in there for limited snaps as expected, but he did get more than the 12 yards he needed to set the rookie franchise record in that category. Chase was able to get some good work in before the postseason while working with backup quarterback Brandon Allen, and he'll now look ahead to keeping his connection with Joe Burrow (knee) as incandescently hot as it was to wrap up the regular season.

Active Sunday, may see light snaps
Chase is active for Sunday's game against the Browns, though he's not expected to see his usual snap count in the contest, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Head coach Zac Taylor suggested earlier this week that Chase could be a candidate to sit out the regular-season finale for rest purposes, as the Bengals have little at stake Week 18 in terms of playoff positioning and would ideally escape the contest without any injuries to key players heading into the postseason. To that end, Joe Burrow (knee/rest), Joe Mixon (reserve/COVID-19 list) and Tee Higgins (coach's decision) are all sitting out Week 18, but Chase will at least dress for the contest.…read more

May play some this week
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Chase "potentially" could play in Sunday's game against Cleveland, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: With quarterback Joe Burrow already acknowledging that he'll sit out with a minor knee injury he would otherwise normally play through if the Bengals hadn't already locked up a playoff spot, there's a good chance Chase plays less than a full game, if he even suits up at all. He already has the rookie record for receiving yards (1,428), thanks to his 11-266-3 line in the Week 17 win over Kansas City.

Sets rookie receiving record in win
Chase caught 11 of 12 targets for 266 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 34-31 win over the Chiefs.
Analysis: Chase made a move in space and outran the whole Chiefs defense for a 72-yard touchdown late in the first quarter, then scored again from 18 yards out in the second by easily outmuscling a defender in the end zone. He completed the touchdown hat trick with a 69-yard burst down the sideline early in the third quarter, and while Chase didn't get back into the end zone after that, he continued to play a major part in Cincinnati's comeback from a 28-17 halftime hole. Goes for 125
Chase caught seven passes for 125 yards on 10 targets against Baltimore on Sunday.
Analysis: Chase no doubt benefited from the injuries to the Baltimore secondary, but this is a still a strong output by any standard and puts him back on track for a good finish to a rookie season that has been spectacular overall, despite some bumps in the road. At worst, this was a good tune-up showing for Chase as the Bengals prepare to face a tougher Chiefs defense in Week 17.

Ineffective against Denver
Chase recorded one reception on four targets for three yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over the Broncos.
Analysis: This matchup was a defensive struggle from start to finish, but even given that context, Chase posted a disappointing line. Volume was down for nearly every Cincinnati receiver, but Chase's inability to break free for big gains -- a skill that was the key to his early-season production -- remains a concern. Across his last seven games, he's managed only two receptions of at least 20 yards. In that same span, he's averaged only 3.7 receptions and 40.6 receiving yards per game.

Scores twice against Niners
Chase caught five of eight targets for 77 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 26-23 overtime loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: The rookie was a key figure in forcing the game into OT. With the Bengals in a 20-6 hole to begin the fourth quarter, Chase got to work and hauled in TD strikes of 17 and 32 yards from Joe Burrow. It's the second two-touchdown performance of the season for Chase, who now has an amazing 10 TDs through his first 13 NFL games in addition to reaching the 1,000-yard mark. He'll look to keep rolling in Week 15 against the Broncos.

Five catches in loss
Chase secured five of eight targets for 52 yards in the Bengals' 41-22 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
Analysis: Chase saw fellow wideouts Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd outshine him on the afternoon, but he still put together a solid fantasy performance, especially from a PPR perspective. The standout rookie is in a bit of a slump since a stellar 8-201-1 effort against the Ravens in Week 7, posting no more than six receptions or Sunday's 52 receiving yards since that game. His next opportunity to bump up his production comes in a Week 14 home battle against the 49ers.

Falls victim to game script
Chase caught all three of his targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 41-10 blowout win over the Steelers.
Analysis: The Bengals went up big in the first half on the backs of Joe Mixon (165 yards and two touchdowns) and a dominant defensive performance (interception return for a touchdown). When Joe Burrow was asked to drop back and pass, he favored Tee Higgins (six receptions for 114 yards and a score) on the side of the field that star defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick wasn't operating in. Makes low volume count Sunday
Chase caught three of six targets for 32 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-13 win over the Raiders. He also gained eight rushing yards on two carries.
Analysis: The six targets were the fewest Chase has seen since Week 3 and the 40 scrimmage yards were a season low, but the rookie wideout stayed productive by hauling in a six-yard score from Joe Burrow in the fourth quarter as the Bengals pulled away. Chase has eight TDs through his first 10 NFL games while inching closer to 1,000 receiving yards, and he could pad those numbers significantly in Week 12 against a Steelers defense he torched for two touchdowns in their first meeting this year.

Does little with 13 targets
Chase caught six of 13 targets for 49 yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's 41-16 loss to Cleveland. He also rushed twice for no gain.
Analysis: Chase was the intended receiver on a Joe Burrow pass that was returned for a 99-yard interception touchdown to end a promising Bengals opening drive, then the rookie wide receiver fumbled in the second quarter. He also had a ball go through his hands in the end zone in the third quarter, as some of the drops Chase struggled with in the preseason have begun to resurface. Quiet outside of short TD
Chase caught three of eight targets for 32 yards and a touchdown while adding nine yards on one rushing attempt in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Jets.
Analysis: Chase has done most of his scoring from distance, but he showed he can be an effective red-zone weapon as well with a two-yard touchdown in the second quarter. That was his seventh touchdown in eight games, as the rookie fifth overall pick has lived up to his draft-day billing and then some. The underrated Jets secondary kept Chase to under 50 receiving yards for the first time in his career, but he'll have a WR1 ceiling in all formats in Week 9 against the Browns.

Explodes for 201 yards
Chase had eight receptions (10 targets) for 201 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-17 rout of the Ravens.
Analysis: Chase was already on the way to a big receiving day before Joe Burrow dialed up his favorite receiver for an 82-yard touchdown late in the third quarter. The budding star wideout continues to dazzle in his rookie campaign, bringing his season totals up to 35 receptions, 754 yards and six scores through seven contests. Just misses century mark in win
Chase brought in four of six targets for 97 yards in the Bengals' 34-11 win over the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: Chase's yardage total led the Bengals' pass catchers, with a game-high 53-yard grab playing a big part. The dynamic rookie also shared the team lead in targets, but the downturn in that category was a mild disappointment after Chase had logged 19 total looks over the previous two games. Despite falling just short of his third 100-yard effort, the first-round pick will have no shortage of appeal going into a Week 7 road showdown against the Ravens.

Scores while topping 150 yards
Chase caught six of 10 targets for 159 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-22 overtime loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Chase continued his sensational start to his NFL career with his best performance yet. This year's fifth pick had a drop early but compensated with an impressive 70-yard touchdown catch off a scramble drill just before halftime, again showing his unique chemistry with quarterback Joe Burrow. Solid showing in close win
Chase secured six of nine targets for 77 yards in the Bengals' 24-21 win over the Jaguars on Thursday night.
Analysis: Chase checked in second in receiving yards and targets to Tyler Boyd, and he recorded a game-high 44-yard grab on the opening drive of the third quarter to help ignite the Bengals' comeback. The rookie continued to quickly re-cultivate the connection he had with college teammate Joe Burrow, as Chase's reception and target tallies were both new high-water marks. Chase caught four of five targets for 65 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-10 win over Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Chase found the end zone from 34 yards out with 37 seconds left in the first half on a play reminiscent of his Week 1 touchdown against Minnesota, which also came in the final minute before halftime. Scores another TD
Chase caught two of his four targets for 54 yards and a TD in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: Meanwhile, fellow WR Tee Higgins caught six of his team-high 10 targets for 60 yards and a TD and slot man Tyler Boyd hauled in seven of his nine targets for 73 yards. Chase's 42-yard TD saved his day from a fantasy perspective, but the rookie's volume took a dip Sunday after he caught five of seven targets for 101 yards and a TD in his regular-season debut last weekend. Leading receiver in terrific debut
Chase caught five of seven targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Vikings.
Analysis: Chase had an underwhelming camp, but the rookie fifth overall pick stepped his game up in his NFL debut, bursting by the defender on a go route for a 50-yard touchdown in the final minute of the first half. He finished as the team leader in catches, targets and receiving yards. Chase's chemistry with quarterback Joe Burrow dates back to their days together at LSU, and the electric rookie will look to build on this strong first impression in Week 2 against Chicago.

Chase failed to bring in his only target during the Bengals' 29-26 preseason loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Analysis: Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports Chase couldn't secure a bubble screen from Joe Burrow on the team's first drive, with the ball bouncing right off his hands. It was an extension of a troublesome trend for the rookie first-round pick, who was charged with three drops in preseason Week 2 against Washington and then put in extra pass-catching reps during the practice week. Chase has been putting in extra work in the aftermath of Friday's preseason game against Washington, when he dropped three catchable balls, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.

Struggles in second preseason game
Chase failed to record a reception on three targets in Friday's preseason game against Washington.
Analysis: All three targets hit Chase in the hands, and two particularly appeared to have the makings of routine catches. While it's not the performance Chase desired, he'll continue to get plenty of opportunities after being selected fifth overall by the Bengals in the 2021 draft. Makes first grab as Bengal
Chase caught his only target for 16 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Buccaneers.
Analysis: The fifth overall pick in the 2021 draft hauled in a strike from Brandon Allen on the Bengals' first possession before quickly calling it a night. Expectations are high for Chase this season in no small part due to his familiarity with Joe Burrow -- who didn't play Saturday -- from their time together at LSU, but with the second-year QB unlikely to see extensive preseason action, it might not be until Week 1 that the duo gets to really flash their chemistry.

Analysis: Chase drew raves during earlier minicamps, but lining up against Chidobe Awuzie has proven to be a challenge in training camp, as Chase has struggled to create separation and has had his share of drops to boot.
