Nice day in close loss
Amadi recorded seven tackles (five solo) including 1.0 sacks and a pass defensed during Sunday's 20-19 loss versus the Commanders.
Analysis: Amadi extended his streak of games with seven-plus tackles to five Sunday, and he extended his streak of games with a pass breakup to three. He's on the fringes of the IDP map going into a Week 16 matchup at Green Bay.

Tallies eight tackles vs. Big Blue
Amadi registered eight tackles (six solo) and two pass defenses in Sunday's 14-11 win over the Giants.
Analysis: Amadi co-led the Saints in tackling Sunday with Demario Davis. Amadi played sparingly in the first half of the regular season, but he's played at least 52 defensive snaps over his last four outings and has logged 34 tackles (26 solo) and four pass defenses over that span.

Leading tackler Week 13
Amadi recorded nine tackles (eight solo) and one pass defended during Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Amadi tallied at least eight tackles for the third game in a row, finishing with the Saints' team-high figure in this category. The 5-foot-9 defensive back has taken on an increased role since Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) was traded to Washington on Nov. 5. Amadi has also played at least 90 percent of offensive snaps in each game since taking over as New Orleans' top nickelback. He should remain productive so long as he remains in this role moving forward.

Continues to produce
Amadi recorded nine total tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 35-14 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Amadi has taken full advantage of his increased opportunities since Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) was traded to the Commanders on Nov. 5, tallying 18 total tackles, including three tackles for loss, across New Orleans' last two games. He appears to have secured the Saints' starting slot corner position and is expected to line up alongside Alontae Taylor and Kool-Aid McKinstry in the secondary as the season progresses.

Capitalizes on opportunity Sunday
Amadi logged nine tackles (all solo), including three for loss, in Sunday's 20-17 Week 10 win against Atlanta.
Analysis: With Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) traded to Washington last Tuesday, Amadi logged 100 percent of New Orleans' defensive snaps for the first time this season. He played well, finishing with a season-high nine stops, including three tackles for loss. Amadi also made a huge play on the final snap of the game, making a nice tackle of Ray-Ray McCloud to keep the wideout in bounds and force the clock to expire to ensure a narrow Saints victory.

Returns to Big Easy
Amadi signed a contract with the Saints on Tuesday.
Analysis: Amadi spent 2023 with New Orleans, serving in a depth capacity in the secondary while also contributing on special teams. He'll likely fill a similar role in 2024.

Ready to play
Amadi (knee) is active Sunday against the Packers.
Analysis: Amadi was able to get in limited practices Thursday and Friday, leading up to him taking the field Sunday. He should continue his role of chipping in on special teams.

Questionable for Sunday at Packers
Amadi (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Green Bay, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Analysis: Amadi was able to practice in a limited capacity both Thursday and Friday, so perhaps he's closer to the probable end of questionable than a true 50/50 to play. Either way, he's not likely to see much work outside of the special teams unit in Week 3.

Healthy scratch
Amadi (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against Commanders, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Analysis: Amadi was forced to miss the Titans' last two games with an ankle injury. He returned to a full practice Wednesday and didn't carry an injury tag, so it appears that coach Mike Vrabel has decided to lean on Andrew Adams as the backup free safety against the Commanders.

Ready to return
Amadi (ankle) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Amadi has missed each of the last two games after suffering the injury in Week 2's loss to the Bills. After logging a full practice, he should be good to go Sunday against the Commanders.

Won't play at Indianapolis
Amadi (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 4, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Analysis: Amadi will sit out for a second consecutive week with an ankle injury he presumably sustained Week 2 at Buffalo. It's unclear when he'll be able to return, and for now, Josh Kalu could be in line to start alongside Kevin Byard at safety Sunday with Amani Hooker (concussion) also having been ruled out.

Ruled out for Week 3
Amadi (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Raiders, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Amadi played 38 defensive snaps and recorded five tackles during the season opener, but he saw a substantially smaller role during Monday's blowout loss to the Bills. It's unclear when he picked up the injury, but Amadi has been sidelined for every practice this week. In his absence, Lonnie Johnson could see more snaps as a nickel back.

Headed to Tennessee
Philadelphia traded Amadi to the Titans on Wednesday in a deal involving late 2024 draft picks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: After he was traded to the Eagles from Seattle just over a week ago, Amadi is slated to join his third team this calendar month. He should now be expected to play a depth role in the Titans' defensive backfield behind Kevin Byard and Amani Hooker in 2022.

Dealt to Eagles
Seattle traded Amadi to Philadelphia on Monday in exchange for J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The Seahawks apparently had planned to simply cut Amadi before the trade for Arcega-Whiteside materialized. He has registered more than 50 tackles each of the past two seasons, so he'll provide some welcome depth in the defensive backfield and serve as a seasoned special-teams contributor for the Eagles.

Headed for backup duties
Amadi is expected to start the 2021 season as a backup, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Marquise Blair seemingly won the starting nickel cornerback role during training camp, meaning Amadi's defensive snaps will be limited to start the year barring an injury to a starter. The 2019 fourth-round pick is a sure tackler and could lead the team in special-teams tackles.

Takes on larger role in 2020
Amadi recorded 54 tackles and seven pass breakups over 14 games (five starts) during the 2020 season.
Analysis: Amadi operated as the Seahawks' primary slot cornerback in 2020. The 2019 fourth-round pick was solid in his duties, letting up 353 yards (5.7 yards per target) and no touchdowns in coverage. Under contract for two more seasons, Amadi should be the favorite to win the starting job again in 2021, barring a free-agent acquisition or a high draft pick.

Ready to roll
Amadi (hamstring) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Coach Pete Carroll told reporters Monday that Amadi was on track to practice this week after missing the last few weeks with the hamstring issue, so the secondary appears to be getting a massive boost. Amadi has operated as the team's slot cornerback when healthy, yielding just 5.4 yards per target and no touchdowns. Consequently, expect him to return to that role during Sunday's divisional game against the Rams.

On track to practice this week
Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Amadi (hamstring) will return to practice Wednesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Analysis: The Seahawks' secondary looked lost in Sunday's loss to the Bills, as Amadi and Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) were inactive while Quinton Dunbar (knee) was far from 100 percent. Amadi, the team's slot corner, would be a big boost in Week 10 against the Rams, as he's yielded just 5.4 yards per target and no touchdowns this year.

Will sit against Bills
Amadi (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Bills, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Amadi didn't practice all week and will miss a second straight game. Last week against the 49ers, D.J. Reed covered for Amadi at slot corner and may be in line for the starting job again, although Ryan Neal could be called upon as well.

Sitting as expected Sunday
Amadi (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
Analysis: The 23-year-old was considered doubtful due to the hamstring injury, so there was never much of an expectation for him to play Sunday. Damarious Randall should step in for slot work in Amadi's absence since Ryan Neal (hamstring) will be starting in place of Jamal Adams (groin/illness).

Unlikely to play Sunday
Amadi (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game versus the 49ers, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Analysis: The Seahawks secondary is banged up across the board, as starting cornerback Shaquill Griffin (hamstring/concussion) has been ruled out and Jamal Adams (groin/illness) is questionable. Amadi plays a key role covering the slot, and the Seahawks are running low on viable replacements. Either Damarious Randall or Ryan Neal (hamstring) likely will fill in.

Slated for nickel safety role
Amadi is expected to be the Seahawks' nickel safety following news that Marquise Blair (torn ACL) is out for the season, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Amadi served in this role toward the end of the 2019 season and appeared the front runner for the job in 2020 before Blair produced a dominant training camp. When Blair went down in Week 2, Amadi filled in immediately, logging 65 percent of the defensive snaps and eight solo tackles. Head coach Pete Carroll has showered Amadi with praise and believes it will be a smooth transition at the position. He could have his hands full in Week 3 versus the Cowboys, as rookie CeeDee Lamb, who primarily…read more

Light defensive workload in 2019
Amadi recorded 17 tackles over 16 regular-season games in 2019.
Analysis: Amadi didn't play a defensive snap in 11 of those games, but he occasionally slotted in as a nickel corner when injuries stacked up in the Seattle secondary. Most of his value came on special teams, though, as Amadi was tied for ninth in the league with 11 special-teams tackles. The rookie fourth-round pick out of Oregon is in line for a similar role in 2020 because the Seahawks will return nearly their entire secondary.

Increased duties on tap
Amadi is expected to start at nickel corner for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Analysis: The Seahawks waived Jamar Taylor on Wednesday, opening the door for Amadi -- a rookie fourth-rounder -- to play on defense for the first time since Week 2. Taylor never exceeded a 50-percent snap share, so Amadi likely will fill a similar role.
