Loses spot
Foster was cut from the Colts' practice squad Thursday.
Analysis: Foster wasn't in Indianapolis for very long, considering he had just signed with the team Tuesday. He previously spent time this season on the Giants' practice squad, but he hasn't appeared in an NFL game since 2020 with the Commanders. He'll now work to land an opportunity elsewhere.

Joins Colts' practice squad
Indianapolis signed Foster to the practice squad Tuesday.
Analysis: Foster hasn't made a regular-season appearance since 2020, when he suited up for four games with Washington. He spent time earlier this season on the Giants' practice squad.

Cut from practice squad
The Giants cut Foster (hamstring) from the practice squad Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Foster inked with New York's practice squad back in October, but he wasn't called upon to join the team's active roster during his tenure. The 28-year-old wideout will likely now search for an opportunity on the practice squad of another club.

Signs with Giants' practice squad
The Giants signed Foster (hamstring) to their practice squad Monday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Analysis: Foster was set to miss the entire 2022 season after being placed on the injured reserve list in August, but he eventually agreed to an injury settlement with the Giants and has now made his way back onto the practice squad. If Kadarius Toney (hamstring), Kenny Golladay (knee) and Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) continue to miss time, it would not be surprising to see Foster elevated soon.

Lands settlement
Foster (hamstring) was removed from injured reserve with an injury settlement by the Giants on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: Foster was set to miss the entirety of the 2022 campaign after being placed on IR with an unspecified hamstring issue last Friday. Once he gets healthy, the 28-year-old wideout will be free to join a new team heading into the regular season.

The Giants have placed Foster (hamstring) on their injured reserve, Dan Salomone of the team's official website reports.
Analysis: The severity of Foster's hamstring injury is unknown at this time. He will be forced to spend the rest of the season on New York's IR unless both parties can ultimately come to terms on an injury settlement.

Full go at practice Monday
Foster (undisclosed) was a full participant during Monday's practice, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis: Foster was injured making a diving catch during Wednesday's practice and needed to be carted off the field. However, the undrafted wideout appears to have avoided a major injury and has already returned to full participation after sporting a non-contact jersey Sunday. Although Foster is probably a longshot to make the roster, he does have history with head coach Brian Daboll, playing for him at Alabama and also spending the 2018 and 2019 campaigns with him in Buffalo.

Foster (undisclosed) returned to practice in a limited fashion Sunday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Foster was injured making a diving catch during Wednesday's practice and needed to be carted off the field. However, the undrafted wideout appears to have avoided a serious injury and is working his way back to full speed. Although Foster is probably a longshot to make the roster, he does have history with head coach Brian Daboll, playing for him at Alabama and also spending the 2018 and 2019 campaigns with him in Buffalo.

Misses practice
Foster (undisclosed) missed practice Wednesday after suffering an injury Tuesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Foster was injured making a diving catch and needed to be carted off the field. Although he was probably a longshot to make the roster, Foster does have history with head coach Brian Daboll, playing for him in Alabama and also spending 2018 and 2019 with the Bills. A speedy return to the practice field would also certainly help his chances.

Signs with Big Blue
Foster signed a contract with the Giants on Monday, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official website reports.
Analysis: Foster, who played for new Giants head coach Brian Daboll at Alabama and with the Bills, didn't appear in a game during 2021, as he spent the majority of the season on the Cowboys' practice squad. As a rookie with Buffalo in 2018, Foster caught 27 of 44 targets for 541 yards and three touchdowns, but he was held under 100 yards in each of his following campaigns. It's unclear if he'll make the roster, but his familiarity with Daboll certainly doesn't hurt his chances.

Foster was released by the Cowboys on Saturday.
Analysis: Foster spent the majority of the 2021 campaign on the Cowboys' practice squad after going unclaimed off waivers following an injury settlement with the Dolphins. The former Alabama wideout signed a reserve/future contract with Dallas in mid-January, so this move comes as a little bit of a surprise. Foster (undisclosed) cleared waivers and reverted to Miami's injured reserve Wednesday, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports.

Cut with injury designation
The Dolphins cut Foster (undisclosed) with an injury designation Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Foster faced steep competition for a depth role in Miami's crowded receiving room, and he's dealing with an undisclosed injury to boot. Since racking up an impressive 27 catches for 541 yards and three scores as an undrafted rookie in Buffalo back in 2018, Foster hasn't logged much in the way of meaningful regular-season production.

Heads to Miami
Foster agreed to a one-year contract with the Dolphins on Wednesday, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Foster hasn't produced any meaningful statistics since recording a 27-541-3 line as an undrafted rookie with the Bills in 2018. The Dolphins already have DeVante Parker, Preston Williams (foot) and Jakeem Grant (ankle) locked into key roles for 2021, so Foster is unlikely to see much regular wok at receiver. Instead, the 26-year-old will likely make his biggest impact on the Dolphins' special-teams units.

Another quiet year
Foster played in four games for the Washington Football Team in 2020, catching two of six targets for 37 yards.
Analysis: Foster hasn't been able to recapture his 2018 rookie magic from Buffalo, but he did play a lot of special-teams snaps for Washington in December and January, potentially creating a path to a roster spot in 2021. The Alabama product isn't likely to generate much interest as a restricted free agent this offseason, after catching just five passes in 17 games the past two years.

Foster (coach's decision) is a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.

Set for season debut
Foster is active Sunday against the Bengals for the first time this season, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.

Officially sitting out Sunday
Foster (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Though Washington poached Foster from Green Bay's practice squad a few days ago, the wideout won't be available to play while he waits to clear COVID-19 intake testing with his new organization. As a result, the Football Team will turn to Jeff Badet and Tony Brown as its depth options at receiver Week 7 behind the projected starting trio of Terry McLaurin, Dontrelle Inman and Cam Sims.

Won't play Sunday
Coach Ron Rivera said Thursday that Foster won't clear COVID-19 protocols in time to play in Sunday's game against Dallas, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.
Analysis: Foster signed with the Football Team on Tuesday so this news isn't surprising. Rivera was quick to praise Foster's speed and special teams ability Thursday, as Foster caught 27 passes for 541 yards (20.0 yards per reception) for the Bills in 2018. Once the Alabama product clears protocols and the team is confident in his grasp of the gameplan, expect Foster to contribute as a depth receiver and on special teams for the remainder of the 2020 campaign.

Signs with Washington
Washington signed Foster to its active roster Tuesday, Matt Zenitz of AL.com reports.
Analysis: The Football Team signed Foster off the Packers' practice squad, where the 26-year-old wide receiver has spent the last six weeks after getting cut by Buffalo. The 6-foot-2 wideout can stretch the field, as he caught 27 passes for 541 yards (20.0 yards per reception) for the Bills in 2018. If Isaiah Wright (undisclosed) and Antonio Gandy-Golden (hamstring) are forced to miss any time, Foster could handle a decent workload immediately in Washington's offense.

Lands in Green Bay
Foster signed a contract with the Packers' practice squad Sunday, Matt Zenitz of AL.com reports.
Analysis: Foster failed to make Buffalo's squad after he caught just three passes for 64 yards in 2019. He's a solid deep threat, as all three of his catches went for more than 20 yards. He'll try utilizing that to carve out a spot elsewhere.

Cut by Buffalo
The Bills waived Foster (concussion) on Saturday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: After hauling in 27 passes for 541 yards during his rookie season in 2018, Foster was pushed out of the starting lineup due to the additions of John Brown and Cole Beasley last season. Foster's target share bottomed out as a result, and with Stefon Diggs on board, it was likely to remain near zero. He's an intriguing deep threat, however, as all three of his receptions in 2019 went for 20 or more yards. He'll try utilizing that to carve out a niche elsewhere.

Suffers concussion
Foster missed Tuesday's practice session because he's in the concussion protocol, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

Staying with Bills
Foster has re-signed with the Bills, ESPN's Field Yates reports.
Analysis: The 2018 UDFA was an exclusive rights free agent, a designation that wouldn't allow him to sign with a new team unless the Bills failed to extend a minimum salary tender. Foster failed to build upon his promising rookie season, catching just three of 18 targets for 64 yards in 2019. Disappointing sophomore campaign
Foster finished the 2019 season with just three catches on 18 targets for 64 yards and no touchdowns.
Analysis: After Foster served as a great surprise as an undrafted rookie out of Alabama in 2018, his follow-up campaign was a complete disappointment, especially with the No. 3 and No. 4 wideout roles being up for grabs most of the season. The 64 yards on 219 offensive snaps is terrible, the catch-to-target ratio is brutal for any NFL wideout, and the fact that a guy with his speed and big-play potential couldn't hit on even one big strike was a major letdown. With the Bills actively looking to beef up…read more

Healthy inactive
Foster (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's contest against the Texans.

Empty playing time
Foster played 63 of 64 offensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Jets, catching none of his four targets.
Analysis: For a guy that came out of nowhere to post a 27-541-3 line last season as an undrafted rookie, Foster's second-year production has been pathetic. He finishes the regular season with just three catches on 18 targets for 64 yards and no scores and hasn't caught a pass since Week 13 despite playing in each game since. Added opportunities on tap
Foster is in line for added opportunities Sunday against the Jets, with both John Brown and Cole Beasley inactive, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Bills, who are locked into the AFC's No. 5 playoff seed, sat several key players Sunday, which frees up added looks for Foster, who Buscaglia predicts will fill in for Brown. Meanwhile, Isaiah McKenzie figures to sub for Beasley, with Duke Williams filling McKenzie's usual role.

Catchless in loss
Foster was unable to haul in his lone target in Sunday's 24-17 loss to New England.
Analysis: Foster's catchless streak increased to three games Sunday. Unlike Week 15, the Alabama product saw the field on offense Sunday and was targeted on a deep heave by Josh Allen late in the fourth quarter. It didn't translate to the stat sheet, but that might change Sunday against the Jets. The Bills are locked into the fifth seed and may rest their starters in favor of down-roster players like Foster.

Plays exclusively on special teams
Foster did not record an offensive snap during Sunday's 17-10 win over Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Foster had a catch of at least 20 yards in three straight games from Weeks 11 through 13, but -- after not linking up with Josh Allen in Week 14 -- Foster was limited to special teams Sunday. He continues to slide behind Isaiah McKenzie on the depth chart in a pass offense that isn't exactly consistent. He shouldn't be on your radar for Saturday's matchup against New England's second-ranked pass defense.

Out of sync with Josh Allen
Foster was targeted four times during Sunday's 24-17 loss to Baltimore but did not record a catch.
Analysis: Sunday's four targets marked a season high, but he and Josh Allen were unable to connect as Buffalo's offense was off-kilter for much of the game. Four of Foster's five touches this season have gone for at least 20 yards, highlighting his impressive big-play ability, but he isn't getting many opportunities. Sees increased work
Foster caught one of two targets for 20 yards during Thursday's win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: The 25-year-old was considered questionable due to a hamstring injury but ended up playing 28 offensive snaps, his highest snap total of the season. Foster could see an increased role going forward, since he and Isaiah McKenzie split snaps as the Bills' No. 3 wide receiver in Dallas, per Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo.

Foster (hamstring) is listed as active for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

Listed as questioanble
Foster (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Cowboys.
Analysis: Foster is off the fantasy radar these days, with just two catches for 44 yards in eight games to date. The 25-year-old caught 27 passes for 541 yards and three scores in 13 games last season, but he won't have an opportunity to replicate those numbers while he currently slots in behind John Brown, Cole Beasley and Isaiah McKenzie on the Bills' depth chart.

Officially limited Tuesday
Foster (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Tuesday.
Analysis: Foster kicked off Week 13 prep as a DNP on Monday's estimated injury report, so his upgrade to some activity is a step in the right direction. He'll look to progress further Wednesday with an eye on suiting up for Thursday's game at Dallas. If he's unable to play, Andre Roberts and even Duke Williams would be in line for some work on offense.

Upgraded to limited
Foster (hamstring) is expected to practice on a limited basis Tuesday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Analysis: That's an improvement from his DNP on the practice estimation from Monday's walkthrough, following Foster's departure during Sunday's win over the Broncos. The fact that Foster's 1-24-0 line was his best total of the season tells you all you need to know about his value following last year's breakthrough rookie season, and the biggest fantasy implication his status for Thursday's game in Dallas would create is whether a potential absence would mean Duke Williams gets a chance to suit up again.

DNP on Monday's estimate
Foster (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate.
Analysis: Foster suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday's win over the Bengals, and it seems unlikely he recovers on a short week for Thursday's matchup against the Cowboys. It's been a disappointing season for the Alabama product, as he's fallen into the No. 4 wideout role, catching just two passes for 44 yards a season after compiling 27 for 541 and three scores.

Leaves Sunday's game
Foster (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Relegated to special teams
Foster did not log an offensive snap during Sunday's 37-20 win over Miami.
Analysis: Josh Allen had a career day against the Dolphins, but Foster had no hand in it after recording his first catch of the season in Week 10. In the seven games for which he has dressed, Sunday was the first time that Foster did not log at least seven offensive snaps. He shouldn't be on your fantasy radar, especially Sunday against Denver's top-five pass defense.

Nabs first catch of 2019
Foster caught a 20-yard pass on his only target of Sunday's 19-16 loss to Cleveland.
Analysis: Foster set up Buffalo's first touchdown of the game early in the second quarter, finding a soft spot in front of his defender and making a 20-yard catch to bring Buffalo into the red zone. It was the Alabama product's first catch of 2019, as he has struggled to find opportunities and has recorded just one game with multiple targets (Week 2 against the Giants). Analysis: Any hope Foster might get in on the game plan with No. 3 receiver Duke Williams being made a healthy inactive didn't come into fruition, and Foster is still looking for his first catch in 2019. The man that burst into the scene as an undrafted rookie to average 20.0 yards per catch sits at a big fat zero halfway through the season.
