Held in check in Super Bowl loss
Hill caught seven of 10 targets for 73 yards during Kansas City's 31-9 loss to the Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV. He also had one carry for five yards.
Analysis: Hill dropped 269 receiving yards and three scores when he last met the Buccaneers in Week 12 of the regular season, and he went over 100 yards in each of the Chiefs' last two postseason games, so holding him to just 73 yards on 10 targets should be considered a huge victory for Bucs' defensive coordinator Todd Bowles. The constant pressure that Patrick Mahomes faced while trying to survive without both starting tackles heavily impeded Hill's ability to operate as a deep threat, but the…read more

Big yardage in championship
Hill reeled in nine of 11 targets for 172 yards during Sunday's 38-24 win against the Bills in the AFC Championship Game.
Analysis: During Kansas City's divisional-round win against the Browns, Hill and Travis Kelce became the second set of teammates in Chiefs franchise history to each eclipse 100 receiving yards in a playoff game, joining Ed Podolak and Elmo Wright (1971). Both Hill and Kelce surpassed the century mark again Sunday, with Hill's 71-yard catch-and-run in the third quarter very nearly providing his first score of the postseason. The three-time All-Pro has totaled 17 playoff receptions for 282 yards heading…read more

Leading receiver in playoff win
Hill caught eight of 10 targets for 110 yards and added nine yards on three rushing attempts in Sunday's 22-17 win over the Browns in the AFC divisional round.
Analysis: Hill had 78 receiving yards before Patrick Mahomes' (concussion) third-quarter departure, then made a circus 23-yard catch on a Chad Henne pass in the fourth, pressing the ball against his thigh to secure possession as he went to the ground. Hill saved his most important play for last, coming open for a five-yard catch to pick up 4th-and-inches and allow Kansas City to run out the clock. While Hill's stock would take a hit if Mahomes is unable to play in next week's AFC Championship Game…read more

Not on injury report
Hill (hamstring) doesn't appear on Kansas City's injury report in advance of Sunday's divisional-round game against the Browns.
Analysis: Hill didn't play Week 17 with Kansas City having already secured the top seed in the AFC. The team's ensuing bye week gave the playmaking wideout some added healing time for his hamstring, so he'll be ready to go for the team's postseason opener. Hill concluded the regular season with a career-high 17 touchdowns (15 receiving, two rushing) while accounting for 1,399 yards from scrimmage in 15 games.

Takes field Wednesday
Hill (hamstring) was present for Wednesday's practice, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: Hill sat out Kansas City's regular-season finale against the Chargers, but he was inactive mainly for rest purposes with the Chiefs having already secured the AFC's No. 1 overall seed. With the added healing time afforded by a first-round playoff bye, Hill looks poised to return to action Sunday against the Browns. Wednesday's injury report will reveal whether he was a limited or full practice participant.

Ruled out this week
Hill (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Analysis: In addition to Hill, the Chiefs also ruled out Sammy Watkins (calf), which sets the stage for the Chiefs -- who have clinched the AFC's No. 1 seed and a first-round bye -- to roll out a wideout corps headed by Demarcus Robinson, Mecole Hardman and Byron Pringle in Week 17. Hill is expected to be good to go for Kansas City's playoff opener Jan. 16 or 17.

Absent from Thursday's practice
Hill (hamstring) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: Hill's absences from consecutive practices to begin Week 17 only adds further fuel to the notion that the wideout won't suit up Sunday against the Chargers. If Hill is inactive for the contest, it shouldn't be taken as an indication that the star wideout suffered a setback with his right hamstring coming out of his appearance Week 16 versus the Falcons. Instead, the Chiefs are expected to exercise caution with most of their key starters and any banged-up players in the regular-season finale as…read more

Sidelined at practice
Hill (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Hill also had his practice reps limited last week, but he nonetheless managed to suit up for the Chiefs' win over the Falcons and secured four of six targets for 65 yards. Coach Andy Reid has already announced that Patrick Mahomes will sit out Week 17, and the Chiefs will almost certainly give Hill the extra week of rest as well, especially if there are any lingering concerns about his health. Kansas City has already secured the AFC's No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Contained in Week 16 win
Hill caught four of his six targets for 65 yards during Sunday's 17-14 win against the Falcons.
Analysis: Hill was limited by a hamstring issue Thursday and Friday in practice after being listed as a non-participant Wednesday. However, coach Andy Reid portrayed confidence late in the week regarding his star receiver's status. The five-time Pro Bowler was, indeed, able to avoid his first game absence of 2020, but the Falcons kept him without a touchdown for just the second time since Week 6. Hill has been held under 80 receiving yards in four consecutive games, though a combined three TDs boosted…read more

Suits up Sunday
Hill (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: This was the expected outcome, though ESPN's Adam Schefter previously noted that Kansas City plans to "monitor Hill" during Sunday's game and "be smart with him as well." Assuming no in-game setbacks, however, Hill should remain a key playmaker in his team's Week 16 offense, which will take aim at an Atlanta defense that has allowed an average of 287.7 passing yards per game to date. Only Seattle (293.0) has allowed more.

On track for Sunday
Hill (hamstring), who is listed as questionable, is expected to play Sunday against the Falcons, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The 26-year-old never appeared to be in serious danger of missing Sunday's contest, as coach Andy Reid previously indicated the wideout was expected to play despite being listed as questionable. Hill's availability will be officially known when Kansas City releases its list of inactives about 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Listed as questionable for Week 16
Hill (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Analysis: That said, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com believes that Hill's 'questionable' designation seems "more precautionary than anything," with coach Andy Reid having said that he expects the wideout -- who was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday and Friday -- to play in Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET contest.

Practices in limited capacity
Hill (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: The Chiefs didn't turn Hill loose completely for their second practice of the week, but his ability to participate on a limited basis was a welcome sign after he was held out of Wednesday's session entirely. So long as Hill can upgrade to full activity Friday, he'll likely avoid an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Tending to hamstring injury
Hill didn't practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: According to Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site, head coach Andy Reid said Hill's hamstring "tightened up" during last weekend's win over the Saints. As a result, Hill will get a recovery day Wednesday as the Chiefs kick off Week 16 prep, but at this point, the team hasn't expressed concern about the wideout missing Sunday's game against the Falcons. Hill heads into the matchup with an NFL-best 17 touchdowns on the season.

Makes usual trip to end zone Sunday
Hill caught six of 10 targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-29 win over the Saints. He also gained one yard on his only carry.
Analysis: His five-yard grab midway through the first quarter gave Hill his 15th receiving TD and 17th total touchdown on the season in only 14 games. The speedster also has 83 catches on the year, leaving him five shy of a new career high heading into Week 16's meeting with a Falcons secondary that just got torched by the Buccaneers.

Pushes scrimmage TD total to 16
Hill caught three of seven targets for 79 yards and a touchdown while adding a 32-yard touchdown on his lone rushing attempt in Sunday's 33-27 win over the Dolphins.
Analysis: Hill breathed life into Kansas City's offense with a 32-yard score on an end-around to cut Miami's lead to 10-7 in the second quarter, then put the Chiefs up 21-10 with a 44-yard touchdown catch early in the third. The star receiver's volume has bounced around, but Hill doesn't require many looks to take over a game, needing just four touches to post this gaudy stat line. Returns to full practice
Hill (illness) practiced fully Thursday.
Analysis: Hill missed practice Wednesday due to a non-COVID-19 illness, and his return to a full session Thursday clears the playmaking wideout to suit up Sunday against the Dolphins. As long as he's available on any given week, Hill -- who's scored 14 total TDs in 12 games this season -- remains a plug-and-play fantasy option.

Dealing with illness
Hill didn't practice Wednesday due to a non-COVID-19-related illness, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.

Posts 88 total yards in win
Hill caught six of 10 targets for 58 yards and rushed once for 30 more yards in Sunday's 22-16 win over Denver.
Analysis: Hill finally cooled off following an unconscious four weeks of fantasy gold in which he averaged 145.5 receiving yards and 2.0 touchdowns per game. Posting 88 total yards from scrimmage is nothing to scoff at, but the star wideout's fantasy managers can't help but feel let down after being spoiled over the previous month-plus. Flirts with franchise record in win
Hill secured 13 of 15 targets for 269 yards and three touchdowns in the Chiefs' 27-24 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: As his final line indicates, the incomparable speedster was in top form, particularly during a first quarter when he hauled in touchdown throws of 75 and 44 yards. Hill's 159 receiving yards in the first quarter was the most in any one period in an NFL game since 2006, and he came just 40 yards short overall of equaling Stephone Paige's single-game franchise record of 309 yards, set back in 1985. Explodes for 11 catches
Hill had 11 receptions (14 targets) for 102 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-31 win over Las Vegas.
Analysis: Hill got the scoring going early for the Chiefs on a short pitch and catch from Patrick Mahomes in the first quarter. The 11 receptions set a new high watermark for the speedy wideout. Hill is known more for his explosive plays as opposed to volume, but the Raiders were sitting in cover-4 shells for most of the night, so head coach Andy Reid and Mahomes took what the defense gave them and connected with Hill on shorter routes. Stars in high-scoring win
Hill secured nine of 18 targets for 113 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs' 33-31 win over the Panthers on Sunday. He also rushed once for eight yards.
Analysis: Hill drew a career-high number of targets in the wild win, and although he was only able to bring in half of them, his knack for the big play helped ensure a rewarding fantasy day. He was integral to Kansas City's comeback from a surprising 14-3 first-half deficit, notching his pair of scoring grabs (28 and two yards) in the fourth quarter. Two long TDs in blowout win
Hill caught four of six targets for 98 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 35-9 win over the Jets.
Analysis: Hill burned the vulnerable Jets secondary for touchdowns of 36 and 41 yards, accounting for two of Patrick Mahomes' five passing scores. While Hill doesn't match the monstrous target totals commanded by most elite wide receivers, his speed and Mahomes' downfield accuracy help the Chiefs' top wideout make a major impact week in and week out. Hill hauled in six of his 10 targets for 55 receiving yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 43-16 win against the Broncos.
Analysis: This outing was not one of Hill's 20-yards-per-catch performances, though he was the Chiefs' most impactful pass-catcher during Week 7. Not only did Hill corral Patrick Mahomes' only TD pass of the contest, but he also dominated the pass-catching workload with six more targets than any other player on the team. Quiet in rainy game
Hill caught all three of his targets for 20 yards in Monday's 26-17 win over the Bills. He also rushed once for five yards.
Analysis: Hill had comfortably his worst performance of this season amid a downpour in Buffalo. Those conditions slowed Kansas City's usual high-flying passing game, instead leading the Chiefs to rush for a season high on the ground. Long TD called back
Hill brought in three of six targets for 78 yards and rushed three times for 15 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' 40-32 loss to the Raiders on Sunday.
Analysis: Hill still provided a solid stat line for fantasy managers thanks to his early second-quarter 10-yard touchdown run, but he could have had a much bigger day had his 58-yard touchdown grab on the third play of the game not been nullified by an offensive holding penalty. Hill has one score in each game thus far, however, and he'll look to keep that streak alive at the expense of the Bills in a Week 6 Monday evening road battle.

Continues TD streak
Hill caught four of six targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 26-10 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Hill scored Kansas City's first touchdown of the game by taking a misdirection shovel pass six yards into the end zone to close the third quarter. That play not only gave the Chiefs a needed lift following an uncharacteristically slow start, but also prolonged Hill's four-game touchdown streak to start this season. Keeps scoring streak going
Hill caught five of six targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 34-20 win over the Ravens. He also rushed twice for 25 yards.
Analysis: Hill started the game by taking an end-around 22 yards on Kansas City's first offensive snap. The speedster subsequently made a catch of 33 yards, setting up his team's opening score, then got in the end zone himself with a 20-yard, over-the-shoulder reception in the second quarter. Catches crucial long touchdown
Hill caught five of 11 targets for 99 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: Hill was held in check for most of the game but came through with a crucial 54-yard touchdown catch to help his team rally in the fourth quarter. Overall he finished second on the team in targets and scored for the second straight week while vastly improving his yardage output. Hill will face a tough matchup next Monday night against the Ravens, but his big-play ability and status as Patrick Mahomes' top wideout allow him a chance at big production every time he takes the field.

Analysis: Hill had a quiet night by his lofty standards, but the Chiefs passing game as a whole ceded some production to the spectacular exploits of rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Hill still rewarded fantasy managers by making a three-yard scoring grab early in the fourth quarter to essentially put the game out of reach, as his touchdown pushed Kansas City's lead to 30-7 at the time. Good to go for Week 1

Analysis: Hill picked up a minor hamstring strain Aug. 20 but returned to the practice field four days later. Now two weeks since that session, he took on every practice rep as the Chiefs begin preparation for Thursday's season opener versus the Texans, who conceded the 11th-most yards (166.5 per game) and eighth-most touchdowns (18) to wide receivers during the 2019 season.

Analysis: Hill proved he hasn't lost a step by taking down speedy teammate Mecole Hardman in a 40-yard dash race earlier in camp. A new contract on the horizon this offseason could serve as motivation for Hill, who finished out 2019 with 58 grabs for 860 yards and seven touchdowns over 12 games, to churn out one of the best of his career. Makes pivotal grab in SB LIV win
Hill secured nine of 16 targets for 105 yards during the Chiefs' 31-20 win over the 49ers in Super LIV on Sunday.

He made up for his lack of yardage by doing damage in the red zone, including touchdown grabs of eight and 20 yards in the first half. Just three catches, muffs punt
Hill caught three of four targets for 41 receiving yards and lost one fumble during Sunday's 51-31 divisional-round win against the Texans.
Analysis: The four-time Pro Bowler put his defense into a precarious situation late in the first quarter, muffing a Bryan Anger punt inside his own 10-yard line and setting up Houston for a touchdown two plays later to extend its lead to 21-0. Hill would later have to briefly exit the game after absorbing a hard hit from Texans safety Justin Reid, but he would return a drive later and finish out the contest. In addition to his 20-yard catch that helped the Chiefs tally a go-ahead TD shortly before the…read more

Goes deep against Chargers
Hill caught four of five targets for 61 yards during Sunday's 31-21 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: Hill was quiet for the bulk of Sunday's game, when, with the Chiefs nursing a three-point lead late in the fourth quarter, he got behind the Chargers' secondary for a 47-yard completion to set up the game-sealing touchdown. The win, coupled with a Patriots loss, means the Chiefs will be the AFC's No. 2 seed and play either New England, the Texans or the Bills in two weeks. In two games against New England and Houston this season, Hill has 11 total receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns.

Moderate output in win
Hill reeled in all five of his targets for 72 yards in Sunday's 26-3 win over Chicago.
Analysis: The Chiefs led this contest comfortably wire-to-wire, so the offense didn't need to take too many downfield shots. This resulted in Hill tying his season low (in a full game) of five targets. Both he and Travis Kelce paced all Kansas City receiving options in production as per usual, and we should expect more of the same against the Chargers in Week 17. The Chiefs are still able to earn a first-round bye if the Patriots lose next week, so the team figures to play its starters despite having the…read more

Strikes twice in snow game
Hill caught five of seven targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 23-3 win over Denver. He added a one-yard run during the game.
Analysis: The snowy conditions were much more conducive to the short passing game, but that's not what the Chiefs and Hill were thinking early during Sunday's contest. Hill and Patrick Mahomes capped Kansas City's opening drive off with a 41-yard strike on a deep out-breaking route, as Hill continued his streak of big plays against Denver. Hill came back around later for a lunging five-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter for his second multi-touchdown game of the season. Hill has recorded at…read more

Held in check by Pats
Hill caught six of eight targets for 62 yards while adding eight rushing yards on two carries in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: The speedy receiver saw plenty of Stephon Gilmore on the afternoon, but Hill's production may also have been affected by the knock Patrick Mahomes took to his throwing hand early in the game, as the quarterback seemed reluctant to attack downfield afterwards. Assuming Mahomes' injury isn't serious, Hill will try to rebound in Week 15 at home against the Broncos, whom he posted a 3-74-1 line against in Week 7.

Can't break out Sunday
Hill caught five of eight targets for 55 yards and lost four yards on his only carry in Sunday's 40-9 rout of the Raiders.
Analysis: The Chiefs' passing game was surprisingly muted despite the final score, as windy conditions at Arrowhead Stadium prevented Patrick Mahomes from stretching the field as usual. Hill's longest grab went for only 17 yards, a somewhat disappointing showing for the speedster considering he had eight catches of 20-plus yards in the five games prior to straining his hamstring in Week 11. Hill could struggle to get open deep again next week in a road matchup against the Patriots' league-leading defense.

Good to go Week 13
Coach Andy Reid confirmed Friday that Hill (hamstring) would be able to play Sunday against the Raiders, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Hill was forced out early in the Chiefs' previous game Nov. 18 versus the Chargers with a strained hamstring, but he seemingly put to rest any concern about his health by practicing fully Wednesday in Kansas City's first official session following a Week 12 bye. The wideout went on to practice fully again Thursday and Friday, so he shouldn't face any restrictions with his snap count as he checks back into the lineup this weekend. Despite playing less than 20 percent of the offensive snaps due…read more

In line to practice fully
Coach Andy Reid relayed that Hill (hamstring) will be a full practice participant Wednesday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site previously relayed Reid's optimism about Hill's Week 13 availability. The fact that the wideout is slated to take every practice rep in the Chiefs' first session of the week puts him on track to suit up Sunday against the Raiders, in the absence of any setbacks.

Optimism regarding Week 13 status
Coach Andy Reid indicated Monday that he's optimistic about Hill's (hamstring) availability for Sunday's game against the Raiders, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Analysis: Hill was forced out of the Chiefs' Week 11 game early with a hamstring injury, but the team's bye came at a good time for the wideout. Added clarity on his Week 13 status should arrive once the team starts practicing this week and can see how Hill's hamstring responds in the process.

Could be back after bye
Hill's hamstring injury is considered minor, with the Chiefs hoping he'll be ready to play after a Week 12 bye, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Hill reportedly wanted to re-enter Monday's 24-17 win over the Chargers, but the Chiefs held him out for the rest of the game after he limped off the field in the first quarter. Based on Rapoport's report, Hill's MRI seemingly returned good news, confirming that the hamstring strain isn't too severe. The Chiefs will come out of their Week 12 bye to host the Raiders on Dec. 1, with the matchup potentially determining which team sits atop the AFC West heading into the final quarter of the season.

Headed for MRI
Hill will undergo an MRI on his hamstring in the next day or two, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Hill's night Monday was cut short when the receiver lasted just seven offensive snaps before pulling up lame on a route downfield. The test should reveal the extent of Hill's strain and provide a better idea of his timeline for a return. On a positive note, the Chiefs are on bye this week, so there is a chance Hill could avoid missing additional action if the damage turns out to be minor.

Dealing with strained hamstring
Hill is dealing with a strained hamstring, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Analysis: Hill picked up a limp after failing to bring in a long pass in the first quarter, never returning to the game thereafter. There's no telling how long he could be sidelined until he undergoes further testing this week, but the Chiefs might catch a break in that regard with their bye on tap in Week 12.

Heads to locker room
Hill (hamstring) is questionable to return to Monday's game against the Chargers.
Analysis: Hill came up limping after attempting to haul in a long pass and immediately caught the eye of team trainers. After stretching and trying to stay in the game, he headed to the locker room to get extra medical attention. On offense, Hill's absence should lead to more opportunity for Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman, with Hardman taking over return duties.

Speeds past Titans in loss
Hill caught 11 of 19 targets for 157 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 35-32 loss to the Titans. He added a three-yard run during the contest.
Analysis: Hill snapped the tie midway through the third quarter, outrunning his defender in order to get under Patrick Mahomes' 11-yard touchdown loft. Hill no doubt benefited from Mahomes' return from a knee injury -- his 19 targets setting a career high -- but he also did pretty well with Matt Moore in Week 9 and, with Sunday's effort, was able to top 120 yards in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. Hill has reached at least 70 yards in every game that he has completed this season and…read more

Eclipses century mark in win
Hill brought in six of eight targets for 140 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' 26-23 win over the Vikings on Sunday. He also rushed once for five yards.
Analysis: Hill demonstrated he didn't necessarily need Patrick Mahomes under center to thrive, exploding for his first 100-yard effort of the season and notching a 41-yard catch in the process. The versatile speedster also opened the scoring with a 40-yard touchdown grab and now has four receiving scores since returning from his early-season collarbone injury. Hill should have Mahomes back under center Week 10 against the Titans, affording him a good opportunity to put together a second consecutive…read more
