Notches first sack
Vigil had nine tackles (six solo) and a sack during Thursday's 30-27 overtime win over the Raiders.
Analysis: Vigil got off to a slow start this season, but he now has 32 total tackles over his last four games. The 27-year-old doesn't possess much upside as a pass rusher, as he's never had more than one sack in a single season, but his recent usage as a run stopper has provided a fair floor in IDP formats.

Season high in tackles
Vigil recorded eight tackles (six solo) and a pass breakup in Sunday's 27-17 loss against the Bills.
Analysis: The bump in tackles likely had to do with Vigil replacing Denzel Perryman, who appeared to suffer a back injury in the second half of Sunday's loss. With Kyzir White landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Vigil has an additional opportunity to step in as a starter opposite Kenneth Murray. It's worth monitoring the status of Perryman considering the Chargers face a run-heavy Patriots this week.

All clear for Week 4
Vigil (groin) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Vigil was a full participant during both Thursday's and Friday's practice sessions, so this news isn't quite surprising. Now healthy, he'll assume his usual depth role as the primary back up behind middle linebacker Denzel Perryman.

Pegged as questionable
Vigil (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Vigil practiced without limitations Thursday and Friday, so he should be ready Sunday barring a setback. If he indeed suits up, he'll operate as the primary backup to middle linebacker Denzel Perryman.

Full practice Thursday
Vigil (groin) was a full participant during the Chargers' practice session Thursday.
Analysis: The Utah State product was unable to partake in practice in any capacity last week before ultimately being ruled out for Los Angeles' Week 3 loss to the Panthers. Vigil has not only returned to practice, but he has improved to full availability, making it appear that he is on track to suit up Week 4 against the Buccaneers.

Limited practice status
Vigil (groin) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: Vigil failed to suit up in Week 3 against the Panthers after he didn't practice all last week, so the fact that he was out on the practice field is a positive sign. Expect Thursday's practice session to paint a clearer picture of the chances for the veteran to suit up in Week 4. If the Utah State product is forced to miss Sunday's game, look for Denzel Perryman to handle the bulk of middle linebacker snaps in Week 4.

Inactive as expected
Vigil (groin) won't suit up in Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Analysis: Vigil came into the game doubtful after failing to practice all week, so this news isn't a surprise. With the Utah State product sidelined, look for Denzel Perryman to handle the bulk of middle linebacker snaps in Week 3.

Doubtful for Week 3
Vigil (groin) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Panthers after failing to practice all week.
Analysis: Given Vigil's inability to log even a limited session in preparation for the Week 3 clash, the linebacker is unlikely to be active come game day. He played just three snaps, all on special teams, in Week 2 after playing 58 defensive snaps in the season opener.

Listed as DNP on Wednesday
Vigil (groin) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: Vigil may have picked up this injury during Week 2's loss to the Chiefs, as he finished with three total snaps after logging an 85 percent snap share in Week 1. If he's forced to miss any time, Denzel Perryman and, to a lesser extent, Emeke Egbule likely will fill the role at middle linebacker.

Joins Chargers defense
The Chargers have signed Vigil to a one-year contract, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: The 2016 third-rounder is coming off a season in which he racked up a career-high 111 tackles to go along with a sack and a pick in 16 games for the Bengals. Vigil's addition will bolster a Los Angeles linebacking corps that has seen Thomas Davis, Jatavis Brown and Nick Dzubnar depart as free agents.

Triple-digit tackles in 2019
Vigil notched 111 tackles (60 solo), one sack, five defended passes and one interception across 16 regular-season games in 2019.
Analysis: Vigil also forced one fumble and recovered two fumbles, playing a full 16-game slate for the first time since his rookie campaign. The 26-year-old had four double-digit tackle performances on the year, proving a newfound upside in IDP formats. He'll look to reprise his consistency in 2020.

Breaks up pass in loss
Vigil recorded four tackles (two solo) and a pass breakup in Sunday's 38-35 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: After several double-digit tackle performances earlier in the year, Vigil's production has tapered off late in the season. He has no more than five tackles in any of his last four games. The Utah State product does have an interception and three pass breakups in that span, however.

Generates five stops
Vigil made five tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 34-13 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: The 2016 third-round pick managed to surpass 100 tackles for the first time in his career with Sunday's effort, rounding out at 103 on the season. Vigil has two more games to extend his career high.

Snags first interception
Vigil recorded four tackles (two) solo and his first interception of the season in Sunday's loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Vigil returned his interception 34 yards before being tackled at midfield. It was his second turnover on the year, as he also has one forced fumble. The 26-year-old was one of three Bengals to play all 56 defensive snaps. He will look to continue as a consistent force on defense when the team welcomes the Patriots in Week 15.

Suiting up Week 13
Vigil (ankle) is active for Sunday's Week 13 tilt against the Jets, Marisa Contipelli of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The veteran linebacker was able to work back to a limited practice Friday and is now set to officially take the field in his usual capacity versus New York. Vigil boasts a career-high 89 tackles, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries through his first 11 games.

Questionable for Week 13
Vigil (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Vigil started the week not practicing but put in a limited session Friday and is now expected to play, according to Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site. Jordan Evans is listed as the next man up at strongside linebacker should Vigil ultimately be inactive.

Misses another practice
Vigil (ankle) is not practicing Thursday, Tyler Dragon of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Vigil hasn't practiced in any capacity this week. He'll have one more opportunity to up his activity prior to Sunday's tilt against the Jets, but the starting linebacker currently appears to be trending toward missing Week 13.

Nursing ankle issue
Vigil did not participate in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Vigil appears to have sustained an ankle injury during Week 12's loss to the Steelers, during which he recorded seven tackles (four solo). If he were forced to miss any time, Jordan Evans (hamstring) and LaRoy Reynolds would be candidates to play expanded roles on defense.

Double-digit tackles
Vigil racked up 12 tackles during Sunday's 17-10 loss to Oakland.
Analysis: He continues to be a liability in both run and pass coverage, but Vigil at least has some upside in the tackle department. This is the fourth time this season he's registered at least 11 tackles in a game and the fourth-year linebacker will look to keep it going in Week 12 against the Steelers.

First sack of season
Vigil recorded four tackles and a sack across 44 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: The veteran linebacker rarely reaches the quarterback, as Sunday's sack was his first since the 2017 season and just the second of his career. Vigil has played in 94 percent of the team's defensive snaps this season, a figure which leads the Bengals' linebacking corps.
