Gets $2.15 million guaranteed
Hyde's two-year contract with Jacksonville is for $4.5 million, including a guaranteed $1.25 million base salary for 2021 and a $900,000 signing bonus, Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com reports.
Analysis: It's a modest contract even by backup RB standards, but the guarantees should at least lock in Hyde for a Week 1 roster spot. The Jaguars could still bring in more bodies to compete for backup work behind James Robinson, who averaged 45.8 snaps and 20.6 touches per game as a rookie. A similar workload isn't out of the question even if Hyde also gets some carries, considering the Jags had an NFL-low 337 rush attempts last season. Robinson accounted for 71.2 percent of the attempts (240) despite…read more

Links up with college coach
The Jaguars and Hyde agreed to a two-year, $6 million contract Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: With Chris Thompson (back) set to be an unrestricted free agent, Jacksonville has brought in Hyde, likely to be the top reserve to starting running back James Robinson (ankle). Hyde played under new coach Urban Meyer at Ohio State, but the seven-year pro has just one 1,000-yard season to his credit (2019 with the Texans) and doesn't pose much of a threat as a receiver.

Finishes in cold spell
Hyde rushed four times for five yards in Saturday's 30-20 wild-card loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Hyde's final two games of the 2020 season were against the Rams, and his usage was limited to just seven touches for 31 yards. The 30-year-old running back's seventh NFL season was defined by injuries, specifically shoulder and hamstring issues, and he played just 10 games. In that stretch, Hyde carried 81 times for 356 yards (4.4 YPC) and four touchdowns, and added 16 receptions (20 targets) for 93 yards). Hyde is set to be an unrestricted free agent in March. Cleared for wild-card round
Coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that Hyde (illness) will play in Saturday's wild-card game against the Rams, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Hyde missed the regular-season finale due to a non-COVID-19 illness, but he'll be back in action for the first round of the playoffs. With Rashaad Penny back in the lineup, there are fewer reps to go around behind Chris Carson, and Penny could ultimately end up with more playing time Saturday.

Ruled out for Week 17
Hyde (illness) won't play in Sunday's game against the 49ers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Hyde hasn't tested positive for COVID-19, but he didn't travel with the team and will miss his sixth game of the season. The 30-year-old running back finished the 2020 regular season with 356 rushing yards and four touchdowns, adding 16 receptions (on 20 targets) for 93 yards. Hyde will aim to return for the playoffs. Rashaad Penny figures to see an uptick in usage behind Chris Carson on Sunday.

Carries questionable tag for finale
Hyde (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Analysis: According to head coach Pete Carroll, Hyde sat out each of the Seahawks' three practices this week while battling flu-like symptoms, per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Hyde hasn't missed a game since returning from a hamstring injury to face Arizona in Week 11, but he could be in danger of sitting out the regular-season finale. If Hyde is unable to go this weekend, Rashaad Penny would serve as the clear top understudy to lead back Chris Carson.

Sits out again Thursday
Hyde (illness) missed practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: With two absences under his belt during Week 17 prep, Hyde is trending in the wrong direction as he deals with an illness. If the Seahawks ultimately don't have his services Sunday versus the 49ers, Rashaad Penny is the likely candidate to slot in as the No. 2 running back to starter Chris Carson (foot).

Misses practice with illness
Hyde didn't participate in Wednesday's practice due to an illness, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: At this time, Hyde's illness hasn't been linked to COVID-19. If he doesn't get cleared for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Rashaad Penny likely would take over the No. 2 role behind lead back Chris Carson (foot).

Registers 26 yards
Hyde rushed twice for eight yards and caught his lone target for 18 yards in Sunday's 20-9 win over the 49ers.
Analysis: Hyde logged 20 snaps on offense as the clear No. 2 behind Chris Carson, while Rashaad Penny played just four snaps. Carson will continue to be the bell cow in a Week 17 clash against the 49ers, leaving minimal fantasy upside for Hyde, especially if Penny receives an increased workload in his third game back.

Rips off 50-yard score
Hyde rushed twice for 55 yards and a touchdown and caught two of three targets for eight yards in Sunday's 20-15 win over Washington.
Analysis: Hyde made his mark on the opening drive of the second half, ripping off a 50-yard touchdown -- the Seahawks' longest rushing score since Week 12 of the 2019 season. Still, the 30-year-old back was rarely involved, as Chris Carson handled a lion's share of the reps (18 total touches). Rashaad Penny figures to garner more looks moving forward, too, as he eases in from a lengthy ACL recovery. Therefore, it will be tough to rely on Hyde in fantasy championships, especially against the Rams'…read more

Puts in full practice
Hyde (toe) practiced fully Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: While Hyde upped his activity level from Wednesday's limited session, fellow running back Chris Carson (foot) maintained that listing for a second straight day. In three games working in tandem with Carson, Hyde has totaled 37 touches for 106 yards from scrimmage, which is a far cry from the former's 41 touches for 267 total yards and three TDs. Despite the guaranteed reps, Hyde hasn't been able to do much with the workload.

Limited Wednesday
Hyde (toe) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Hyde logged a trio of limited practices last week before leading the Seahawks with 15 carries for 66 yards in a 40-3 triumph over the Jets. The Seahawks once again are capping the 30-year-old running back's practice reps to begin Week 15, but he's likely just getting some maintenance rather than dealing with a setback. Meanwhile, Chris Carson (foot) was also limited Wednesday. If both players are cleared for Sunday's game against Washington, Hyde should serve as the clear second fiddle to…read more

Leads backfield in carries Sunday
Hyde carried the ball 15 times for 66 yards in Sunday's 40-3 win over the Jets.
Analysis: With the game well in hand by the second quarter, Hyde mixed in regularly with Chris Carson and ended up seeing the same number of touches on the day, although Carson's 98 scrimmage yards far surpassed Hyde's total. He's more likely to take a back seat to Carson in Week 15's road tilt against a Washington squad that should put up more of a fight.

Ready for Week 14
Hyde (toe) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game versus the Jets, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Despite having limitations on his practice reps this week, Hyde has been cleared for Week 14 action. The same can be said for Chris Carson (foot), so with Travis Homer (knee) doubtful to play and Rashaad Penny (knee) still on the PUP list, Seattle is slated to roll with a three-player backfield Sunday. In Week 13 against the Giants, Carson paced the unit with 16 touches and a 58-percent share of the snaps on offense. Behind Carson, Hyde had five touches on 25 percent of those plays, while…read more

Limited again Thursday
Hyde (toe) was limited at Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: As was Chris Carson (foot). Assuming the Seahawks end up rolling with the same three-player backfield Sunday versus the Jets as they did Week 13, Carson will lead the unit, followed by Hyde and DeeJay Dallas. Carson easily outpaced the other two this past Sunday against the Giants, compiling 16 touches for 100 yards from scrimmage and one TD. Meanwhile, Hyde had five touches for 11 total yards, and Dallas matched Hyde's yardage on two catches.

Limited usage in loss
Hyde rushed twice for one yard and caught all three of his targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 17-12 loss to the Giants.
Analysis: After narrowly leading the backfield in carries last week against the Eagles, Hyde took a clear back seat to Chris Carson in Week 13, getting out-snapped by a 42-18 margin. This is the usage we'd expect from Hyde while Carson is healthy. The veteran running back could also face competition for the No. 2 role if Rashaad Penny (knee) gets healthy soon. For the time being, he'll spell Carson and possibly take some goal-line work when the Seahawks host the Jets in Week 14.

Playing Week 13
Hyde (toe) is listed as active Sunday versus the Giants.
Analysis: Hyde sandwiched limited sessions around Thursday's absence from practice ahead of being considered questionable for this contest. When Adam Schefter of ESPN reported late Saturday that Hyde was expected to play Sunday, he also revealed the running back is tending to a turf toe injury. Such issues can linger for weeks, but Hyde will gut it out as he likely supplements a ground game led by Chris Carson.

Hyde (toe), who is listed as questionable, is expected to play Sunday against the Giants, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The 30-year-old has been battling a turf toe injury and put in a pair of limited practices this week, and he's on track to suit up for Sunday's contest. Assuming he plays, Hyde should fill a secondary role with top tailback Chris Carson (foot) clear of an injury designation this weekend.

Analysis: The Seahawks held a walk-through Wednesday, after which Hyde was listed as limited. While he experienced a downgrade one day later, fellow running back Chris Carson (foot) again logged a limited session. Hyde paced the backfield with 17 touches on 61 percent of the offensive snaps Monday versus the Eagles, ahead of Carson's 10 and 37, respectively. However, Hyde hasn't efficient, with his 17 touches going for 29 yards from scrimmage. As for Carson, he played 37 percent of those plays en route to 10 touches for 59 total yards and one score. Slowed by Eagles
Hyde rushed 15 times for 22 yards and caught two of three targets for seven yards in Monday night's 23-17 win over the Eagles.
Analysis: Hyde led the Seahawks in carries despite usual starter Chris Carson returning from a four-game injury absence. However, Hyde could hardly get anything going with his larger workload, while Carson ended with eight carries for 41 yards and a touchdown. That contrast could see Carson return to first choice in Seattle's backfield in Week 13 versus the Giants, but Hyde has presumably done enough lately to remain in the mix.

Hyde (hamstring) rushed 14 times for 79 yards and a touchdown and secured two of three targets for 16 yards in the Seahawks' 28-21 win over the Cardinals on Thursday night.
Analysis: Suiting up for the first time since Week 7, Hyde handled clear lead-back duties on a night when Chris Carson (foot) remained sidelined. The veteran performed admirably, consistently rattling off productive runs and also finding the end zone from two yards out in the latter portion of the third quarter for this third touchdown of the campaign. Carson suffered his injury in Week 7 against the Cardinals, opening the door for Hyde to function as the lead back for the rest of the contest. Hyde (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's road contest against the Rams, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Analysis: Both Hyde and Chris Carson (foot) received the same designation for Week 10, and coach Pete Carroll told Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic that the running backs likely will be "game-time decisions." Because the Seahawks have a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday, the breakdown of the backfield is in flux as the weekend kicks off. Coach Pete Carroll said Hyde (hamstring) is slated to practice this week to see if a return is possible Sunday versus the Rams, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Analysis: Hyde has missed the last two games due to a strained hamstring, while lead back Chris Carson (foot) has been sidelined during that same stretch. Carroll said Monday that both players have "a chance" to suit up this weekend, but there may not be much clarity on either until the Seahawks release their first Week 10 injury report Wednesday. Coach Pete Carroll noted Monday that Hyde (hamstring) may not return Sunday in Buffalo, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. "It's hard to get that [recovery] done in a couple weeks time," Carroll said of Hyde's hamstring tightness.
Analysis: Hyde was unable to practice last week and was listed as doubtful before not suiting up for this past Sunday's win against the 49ers. Following Carroll's comment, Hyde doesn't appear as if he's in a position to suit up this coming weekend either. Hyde (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the 49ers.
Analysis: Hyde emerged from last Sunday's loss at Arizona with a tight hamstring, which kept him off the practice field this week. When the Seahawks listed him as doubtful to play Sunday, there wasn't much optimism about his ability to change the team's mind, and he indeed will don street clothes. Hyde (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against San Francisco, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Analysis: The designation doesn't come as too much of a surprise after coach Pete Carroll sounded pessimistic about Hyde's status during a Friday radio appearance. Analysis: Even though Hyde's activity remained limited in practices Wednesday and Thursday, he showed enough improvement to gain clearance to play for the first time since Week 3. Hyde should immediately unseat Travis Homer for the No. 2 role in the backfield, serving as the top option off the bench behind starter Chris Carson. Hyde (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Hyde hasn't suited up since Week 3 due to a lingering shoulder injury, but it appears as though he's at least shed his red non-contact jersey. When healthy, the veteran running back stands to resume serving as the primary backup to Chris Carson, but he could have to successfully log a full practice session Friday in order to be fully cleared for Sunday's divisional contest in Arizona.

Puts in limited practice session
Hyde (shoulder) was limited during Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that Hyde may not take any contact during the practice week, but according to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times, Hyde shed the red no-contact jersey during Wednesday's session. That gives the veteran running back a decent shot to return to action Sunday against the Cardinals, and he'll have two more practices this week to prove he's ready. Chris Carson piled up 179 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns while Hyde was sidelined, so Hyde's fantasy value likely…read more

Could remain sidelined Sunday
Hyde (shoulder) may not take contact in practice this week, indicating he could miss Sunday's game versus the Cardinals, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Coach Pete Carroll is notoriously optimistic about his players' injuries, so it's best to make a judgment based on their practice statuses instead. If Hyde is limited all week and doesn't take contact, it likely means he won't see the field for Sunday's divisional clash. Travis Homer and rookie DeeJay Dallas would rotate in behind bell cow Chris Carson if Hyde misses another game.

Out again Sunday
Hyde (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Vikings.
Analysis: The Seahawks' decision with Hyde isn't surprising considering he was restricted to non-contact work this week as a limited practice participant. It remains to be seen when Hyde will be cleared to take contact on his surgically repaired shoulder, but his next chance to play will come after the team's Week 6 bye on Sunday, Oct. 25 against the 49ers. Meanwhile, Chris Carson will continue to serve as Seattle's lead back, with Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas on hand for change-of-pace duty.

Listed as questionable again
Hyde (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Hyde was a limited practice participant for a second straight week, once again being restricted to non-contact work. He ended up inactive for last week's win over the Dolphins, but it's possible seven more days of recovery will allow him to suit up Sunday night against the Vikings. If not, the Seahawks will use Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas for backfield support behind lead option Chris Carson.

Another limited session
Hyde (shoulder) was limited in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Hyde's second straight limited practice session of the week doesn't come as any sort of surprise, considering that Coach Pete Carroll has already stated that he won't handle contact drills. As such, the 30-year-old's status for Sunday's game against the Vikings appears truly up in the air, especially after he missed Week 4. Meanwhile, top running back Chris Carson (knee) resumed practicing in full Thursday.

Officially limited in practice
Hyde (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Coach Pete Carroll has already stated that Hyde won't take contact during the practice week, so this designation is no surprise. However, Carroll is optimistic about Hyde's chances of playing in Sunday's game versus the Vikings. It's fair to take Carroll's words with a grain of salt, especially with a Week 6 bye coming up that would afford the 30-year-old running back some additional rest. If he does suit up, Hyde will remain the distant No. 2 option behind Chris Carson.

Won't take contact this week
Coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Hyde (shoulder) will don a no-contact jersey in practices throughout the week, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Carroll remains optimistic that Hyde will play Sunday against the Vikings, and the coach added that Hyde isn't dealing with an injury to the same shoulder for which he required labrum surgery during the offseason. Still, it's likely Hyde carries a questionable tag, at best, into Sunday's matchup, and with a Week 6 bye on the horizon, the Seahawks could opt to give the 30-year-old running back some extra rest so that he stays healthy in the long run. Could be rested Week 5
Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Hyde's (shoulder) status is uncertain for Week 5 against the Vikings, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Analysis: Carroll hinted at Hyde sitting out and utilizing the Week 6 bye to get back to full health. This regimen would make sense considering how well Chris Carson has played through four games, and the Seahawks have been a pass-heavy team anyway. If he does indeed sit out, Travis Homer and rookie DeeJay Dallas likely will split the backfield reps behind Carson.

Won't play Week 4
Hyde (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Analysis: While Hyde's absence hurts the Seahawks' depth at running back, the team will at least have top option Chris Carson (knee) available after the latter's status was also in question for the Week 4 matchup. Not expected to play Sunday
Hyde (shoulder), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, isn't expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Adam Schefter of ESPN previously referred to Hyde as a pregame decision for the contest, but at this stage, the 30-year-old is less likely to give it a go Sunday than Seattle's top back, Chris Carson (knee), who is listed as questionable but expected to play. If Carson suits up and Hyde is sidelined, Travis Homer would likely serve as Seattle's top change-of-pace option.

Likely game-time call
Hyde (shoulder) is expected to be a game-time decision for Sunday's game at Miami, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: The 30-year-old was a limited practice participant throughout the week and is officially considered questionable, and it appears his status remains up in the air heading into Sunday. Starter Chris Carson (knee) is also questionable but is expected to play, so Hyde may be limited to his usual secondary role even if he's active.

Questionable for Sunday
Hyde (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Miami, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: With Hyde and Chris Carson (knee) both listed as questionable, it'll be tough to get a read on the Seattle backfield before the team releases its inactive list Sunday morning. Fortunately, the Seahawks have an early kickoff at 1:00 p.m. ET, so their inactives should come out around 11:30 a.m. Carson and Hyde both have been limited practice participants throughout this week, while Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas are the healthy alternatives in the Seattle backfield.

Injury pops up
Hyde was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Hyde looked poised to take on a bigger role Week 4 against the Dolphins following news that Chris Carson had a first-degree knee sprain, but he now has an injury of his own to overcome. The 30-year-old underwent surgery this offseason to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder, and while it's unclear if his current injury is related, his status is worth keeping an eye on. Increased duties on tap?
Hyde could log more touches moving forward following news that Carson suffered a first-degree knee sprain during Sunday's 38-31 win over the Cowboys, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Hyde was brought in by the Seahawks this offseason for this specific circumstance, as Carson has missed at least one game in each of his first three NFL seasons. Keep in mind that this injury usually carries a 1-to-2 week recovery timeline, and coach Pete Carroll hasn't ruled Carson out for Week 4's matchup against the Dolphins. Stable role through two weeks
Hyde rushed five times for 22 yards and caught both targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 35-30 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Hyde dropped to a 24 percent snap share Week 2 with Chris Carson getting more comfortable after last year's serious hip injury, but the former still finished the game with seven touches -- the same number as Week 1. However, any hope of Hyde splitting reps with Carson has essentially been extinguished, as Carson will be the unequivocal lead back as long as he stays healthy. Hyde is a solid insurance policy in deeper formats, but Travis Homer could get some reps as well if Carson gets hurt.

Punches in TD against Atlanta
Hyde rushed seven times for 23 yards and a score in Sunday's 38-25 win over the Falcons.
Analysis: Hyde logged more carries than Chris Carson (six) in this contest, although Carson was heavily involved in the passing game with six receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown while Hyde didn't receive a target. Still, coach Pete Carroll put Hyde into the game late in the fourth quarter to seal the win with a one-yard touchdown. Carroll has hinted at a timeshare between Carson and Hyde before, but the touches could soon start favoring Carson, who looked healthy after fracturing his hip last year.

Hude (shoulder) wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report and is in line to play Sunday versus the Falcons, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: There has been concern surrounding Hyde since he underwent shoulder surgery in May and took it easy at times during training camp, but the 29-year-old running back appears to be at full health heading into Week 1. Analysis: Carroll's comment is ambiguous as to whether Hyde was given a rest day or held out due to injury. Travis Homer (undisclosed) also was unable to practice Sunday, leaving Chris Carson, DeeJay Dallas and Patrick Carr as Seattle's only available running backs. Staying busy in practice
Coach Pete Carroll said Hyde will be "a big factor" for the Seahawks, John Boyle of Seahawks.com reports.
Analysis: Carroll's comments aren't exactly reliable, but there does seem to be a general consensus from Seattle beat reporters about Hyde getting regular work with the first-team offense. That's largely because Chris Carson has seen his practice workloads carefully monitored, a trend that could continue -- albeit to a lesser extent -- in the regular season. Recovering from shoulder surgery
Hyde, who signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks on Friday, had surgery on his shoulder in February, but is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, Michael Silver of NFL.com reports.
Analysis: It's obvious the Seahawks were aware of the surgery before ultimately signing Hyde on Friday, but it might explain why the Ohio State product took so long to find a home this offseason despite rushing for a career-high 1,070 yards with the Texans last season. Expect the 2014 second-round pick to compete with Rashaad Penny (knee) for leftover opportunities behind nominal starter Chris Carson (hip).

Signing with Seahawks
Hyde will sign a one-year contract with the Seahawks.
Analysis: Hyde wound up with full-time duties in Houston last year and turned in one of the better seasons of his career, rushing 245 times for 1,070 yards (4.4 YPC) and six touchdowns. He won't have the same role with the Seahawks, which also have Chris Carson (hip), Rashaad Penny (ACL), Travis Homer and rookie DeeJay Dallas in their running back room. Penny could start the season on the PUP list, which would potentially enable Hyde to carve out a complementary role to Carson.

Getting interest from Eagles
The Eagles are interested in signing Hyde, according to Adam Caplan on his Inside the Birds podcast.
Analysis: The Eagles didn't add any draft picks to their backfield, opting for Corey Clement, Elijah Holyfield and a pair of undrafted rookies behind 2019 contributors Miles Sanders and Boston Scott. The 29-year-old Hyde could challenge for early down snaps and short-yardage/goal-line carries, potentially damaging Sanders' fantasy value. Hyde ran for 1,070 yards in Houston last season, but he added only 10 catches for 42 yards and coughed up four fumbles along the way.

Analysis: Hyde signed a deal with the Chiefs last offseason, only to be dealt to the Texans at the end of the preseason after having lost the battle for running back slotting behind starter Damien Williams. Once in a Houston backfield without Lamar Miller (knee), Hyde paced the team with career highs in carries (245) and rushing yards (1,070), but predictably, he didn't make much of an impact as a receiver, hauling in 10 of 16 targets over the course of 16 games. Hyde ran for 44 yards on 13 carries and caught three of four targets for 18 receiving yards during Sunday's 51-31 divisional-round loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: The 6-foot, 229-pound bulldozer wrapped up his 2019 postseason with just 3.2 yards per carry, after establishing the second-best yards-per-rush rate of his career during the regular season (4.4). He characteristically remained a peripheral contributor in Houston's passing attack during the playoffs with five total targets, but he was bailed out somewhat in the wild-card round by hauling in a five-yard TD pass from Deshaun Watson. Finds end zone in wild-card win
Hyde carried the ball 16 times for 48 yards and caught his only target for a five-yard touchdown in Saturday's 22-19 overtime win over the Bills.
Analysis: His fourth-quarter TD grab gave the Texans their first lead of the game, but overall, Hyde had trouble making a dent against a tough Bills defense -- his longest run went for only eight yards. He should find more room to operate next Sunday in Kansas City during the AFC divisional round, facing a Chiefs defense that allowed 4.9 yards a carry (28th in the league) and 128.2 rushing yards a game (26th) during the regular season.

From a yards-per-carry perspective, Saturday's matchup against a stout Buccaneers run defense was Hyde's worst game of the season, but he's otherwise been solid down the stretch with at least four yards per carry in six of his last eight games. Hyde (ankle/not injury-related) didn't practice Wednesday.
Analysis: Hyde was limited by an ankle injury Tuesday, but Wednesday's practice report added a "not injury-related" tag to the running back's name, suggesting his absence from the session may have been maintenance-related. Eclipses century mark in win
Hyde rushed 26 times for 104 yards and a touchdown in the Texans' 24-21 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Analysis: Hyde got the better of the Titans' normally stingy run defense with a workmanlike effort as his long run went for a modest 11 yards. Hyde rushed 10 times for 17 yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 28-22 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Hyde had an extremely disappointing stat line when considering the Texans played with a lead for the entire contest. Part of the blame can be placed on the Patriots' stout run defense, which has stymied many a back this season. Still, it was the worst performance of the veteran's 2019 campaign, as the only other time he was limited to less than 20 yards (Week 3 against the Chargers) he was able to hit paydirt to salvage his fantasy line. Solid in Week 12 win
Hyde rushed 16 times for 67 yards in the Texans' 20-17 win over the Colts on Thursday.
Analysis: Hyde led the Texans' backfield as usual, but he often found running room hard to come by against a stingy Colts front. The veteran back accrued almost half his production on a 33-yard scamper in the third quarter, leaving him with just an average of just 2.3 yards per tote on his other 15 carries. Breaks off long score
Hyde rushed nine times for 65 yards and a touchdown and failed to bring in his only target in the Texans' 41-7 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
Analysis: Hyde's final numbers are largely a mirage, as 41 of his yards came on a fourth-quarter, garbage-time rushing score. The touchdown was Hyde's fourth of the campaign and first since Week 6. Hyde now has at least 65 rushing yards in four of his last five games, and although his nine carries Sunday were a season low, they were clearly a product of game script. Hyde will look to bounce back with his normal workload against the Colts in a Thursday night matchup.

Season-best rushing total in London
Hyde rushed 19 times for 160 yards but wasn't targeted in the passing game and lost a fumble in Sunday's 26-3 win over the Jaguars in London.
Analysis: Hyde could have had an even bigger day but watched Duke Johnson vulture a 1-yard touchdown in the third quarter. That was Johnson's first rushing score of the season, so it's hardly cause for concern, especially considering Hyde broke out for a season-high rushing total in this one, topping the 100-yard mark for just the second time in 2019. The 29-year-old running back will get to rest up during a Week 10 bye before returning stateside to face the Ravens in Week 11.
