Shifts to injured reserve
Copeland (pectoral) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The 29-year-old was declared out for the season after suffering the torn pectoral during Sunday's loss to the 49ers, so the move to injured reserve was only a matter of time. Copeland finishes the season with 12 total tackles in six games.

Will be shut down for season
Copeland suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Sunday's loss to the 49ers and will be shut down for the season, Zach Cox of NESN.com reports.
Analysis: Copeland is on a one-year deal with the team, so this may have been the 29-year-old's last game with New England. Although he started four games for the Patriots, Copeland logged just 16 percent of the defensive workload this season. Rookie Anfernee Jennings and Cassh Maluia could absorb the reps Copeland leaves behind. Copeland is expected to land on injured reserve at some point this week.

Ready to rock for Week 2
Copeland (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Analysis: Copeland will face the Seahawks despite having been limited in practice due to a knee injury all week. The veteran linebacker isn't on the IDP radar outside of deep formats.

Labeled as questionable
The Patriots have listed Copeland (knee) as questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Seahawks.
Analysis: Copeland's availability at practice was limited all week, so his questionable designation is not all that surprising. If he is ultimately unable to give it a go, look for some combination of Anfernee Jennings and Cassh Maluia to replace his snaps at inside linebacker.

Heads to AFC East rival
The Patriots and Copeland agreed to terms on a contract Sunday, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports.
Analysis: Copeland spent the past two seasons with the Jets, starting 13 games at linebacker across that span. After he was suspended for the first four games last year for violating the NFL's performance enhancing substances policy, the 28-year-old produced 42 tackles (27 solo), 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. The Patriots are thin at linebacker at this point in the offseason, meaning Copeland could have a shot at a starting role for 2020.

Regresses as pass rusher
Copeland finished the 2019 campaign with 42 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
Analysis: Copeland was suspended for the first four games for violating the NFL's performance enhancing substances policy, and he was never able to rediscover his pass-rushing skills after returning, finishing with just 1.5 sacks after racking up 5.0 in 2018. On the bright side, Copeland set a new career high in tackles, topping his 2018 output by seven. His 2020 value will depend in large part on where Copeland lands, as he's an unrestricted free agent heading into the offseason.

Ready to face Redskins
Copeland (hip) is active for Sunday's game against the Redskins.
Analysis: Copeland was deemed a game-time decision after incurring an injury during Week 10's win over the Giants. Considering the Jets considered shutting him down for this contest, there's a chance Copeland doesn't log a 100-percent snap share as he did over the last two weeks. When Copeland draws has a full workload, he's a solid IDP asset with 28 tackles over the last four outings.

Game-time decision
The Jets have officially listed Copeland (hip) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Redskins.
Analysis: Coepland was unable to practice earlier this week until he logged a limited workload Friday. So, while he appears to be trending in the right direction, his status will unlikely be determined until closer to kickoff. Some combination of Harvey Langi, Frankie, Luvu and Tarell Basham could see increased snaps if he us ultimately ruled out.

Picks up hip injury
Copeland suffered a muscle strain near his hip during Sunday's 34-27 win over the Giants, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Analysis: Copeland will be limited Monday as a result. The 28-year-old is scheduled to meet with a specialist to undergo further medical testing, so an update on his health should be made available prior to Week 11's tilt against Washington.

Breaks out in Week 9 loss
Copeland finished with a team-high nine tackles (eight solo), while adding a sack and two tackles for loss in Sunday's 26-18 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: Copeland's performance was perhaps the only silver lining in an utterly embarrassing loss to the previously winless Dolphins. The sack was his first of the season, as Copeland has underwhelmed in the aftermath of last season's five-sack campaign.
