Sticking in Las Vegas
Jenkins re-signed with the Raiders on Sunday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Jenkins logged career highs in both tackles (61) and passes defended (four) during his first season with the Raiders last year. The 359-pound defensive tackle spent three of the previous four seasons with the Dolphins, and he was reportedly hosted for a visit by the team last week, per Jackson. However, Jenkins ultimately will head back to the Raiders on a one-year deal worth $3.25 million, according to Amber Wilson of ESPN. Jenkins has played for seven different teams during his 12-year…read more

Heading to Las Vegas
The Raiders signed Jenkins on Friday.
Analysis: Jenkins is now slated to compete for snaps on the Raiders' defensive line throughout the 2023 campaign after spending the last two years as a member of the Dolphins. Across 17 contests a season ago, the 33-year-old amassed 21 tackles.

Enters COVID protocols
Jenkins (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday after testing positive for the Virus, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Jenkins' potential absence Sunday against the Titans would be a blow to the Dolphins' defensive line depth. However, if he is vaccinated, he could clear protocols by producing two negative tests more than 24 hours apart.

Slated for increased role
Jenkins is expected to have an increased role in the coming weeks after Raekwon Davis (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Jenkins filled in for Davis for most of Sunday's season opener, and he was on the field for 60 percent of the team's defensive snaps. He racked up four solo tackles in the win over the Patriots and will attempt to build on his production since Davis will miss at least three weeks.

Signs with Miami
The Dolphins signed Jenkins to a one-year deal Thursday, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: In Jenkins' 11 contests during the 2020 campaign, he posted 21 tackles (14 solo) and one pass breakup with the Bears. Previous to his time in Chicago, the veteran nose tackle played 16 games with Miami in 2019. Jenkins will likely boost depth on the team's defensive line this coming coming season.

Posts 21 stops in 2020
Jenkins recorded 21 tackles over 11 games for the Bears.
Analysis: In his age-30 season, Jenkins played 254 snaps in a rotational role and averaged 1.9 tackles over 11 games. He's an unrestricted free agent, and he'll likely continue to be a rotational player at defensive tackle with minimal fantasy value.

No restrictions Thursday
Jenkins (ankle) was a full participant during the Bears' practice session Thursday.
Analysis: Jenkins was unavailable for Chicago's most recent game, a Monday night showdown against the Vikings, handing him a second consecutive inactive designation heading into the Bears' Week 11 bye. Benefitted by a 13-day span between games, Jenkins has a strong chance of playing Sunday against the Packers after practicing without restrictions on Thanksgiving.

Can't go Monday
Jenkins (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game versus the Vikings.
Analysis: Jenkins will miss a second straight game, and he'll look to heal up over the Week 11 bye. Anthony Rush, whom the Bears signed earlier in the week, should see immediate work behind starting nose tackle Bilal Nichols.

Ruled out
Jenkins (ankle) won't play in Sunday's game against the Titans, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Jenkins was unable to practice all week, so this decision isn't too surprising. He will now set his sights on a potential return Week 10 against the Vikings.

Injured late
Jenkins exited Sunday's game against the Saints in the fourth quarter due to an apparent foot or ankle injury, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. His return was later ruled out, per Biggs.
Analysis: Jenkins had four solo tackles before being forced out Sunday. If he's unable to retake the field versus New Orleans, it will be a blow to Chicago's depth along the interior defensive line.

Activated for Week 6
Jenkins (thumb) is active heading into Sunday's matchup against the Panthers, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The 31-year-old garnered 49 combined defensive snaps Weeks 1 and 2, but he served an IR stint between Weeks 3 and 5 because of a thumb injury. He started five times last year for Miami but has so far served as a depth option during his second tour with the Bears. Jenkins will be available for snaps behind starting nose tackle Bilal Nichols, as Chicago looks to contain Carolina's 14th-ranked rush attack.

Activated from IR
Jenkins (thumb) has been activated from IR and is considered questionable for Sunday's game versus the Panthers, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Jenkins returned to practice Wednesday and stayed on the field all week, so he's on track to play if needed. The veteran defensive tackle handled a decent workload behind Bilal Nichols through the first two weeks and recorded two tackles.

Eligible to begin practicing again
Jenkins (thumb) has been designated to return from injured reserve, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: After starting five times for the Dolphins during 2019, Jenkins was filling a considerable role in the early stages of his return to Chicago. Jenkins had been a member of the Bears during 2017, but he only exceeded 20 defensive snaps three times over eight appearances that season. Prior to suffering a ligament tear in his thumb during the Bears' Week 2 win over the Giants, Jenkins had fielded an average of 24.5 snaps per game on the defensive side.

Lands on IR
The Bears placed Jenkins (thumb) on injured reserve Thursday, Larry Mayer of the Bears' official site reports.
Analysis: Jenkins will need to spend at least three game on IR after having suffered a ligament tear in his thumb during Sunday's win over the Giants. His next chance to suit up will come Week 6 at Carolina.

Longer absence ahead
Jenkins (thumb) will miss several games and is a candidate to be placed on IR, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Jenkins apparently suffered a ligament tear in his thumb Week 2 against the Giants but continued to play through it. Not addressing the issue may prove costly here if an IR stint is in play. In the meantime, the Bears will add defensive line depth by signing defensive tackle Daniel McCullers off the Pittsburgh practice squad.

Cleared for camp
Jenkins (illness) was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.
Analysis: Jenkins has been a journeyman during his NFL tenure, as he's been rostered on five teams in as many years. His quick return off the COVID list certainly big for him, as he's currently expected to start at nose tackle due to Eddie Goldman's decision to opt out for the year.

Heading to COVID list
The Bears placed Jenkins (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Over the past five years, Jenkins has been rostered by five organizations, totaling 55 tackles and one sack in 40 games. Prior to his diagnosis or recent contact with a COVID-positive person, he was slated to start at nose tackle for Eddie Goldman, who had opted out of the season. Fortunately for Jenkins, he has plenty of time to get healthy for the regular season.

Returns to Chicago
Jenkins signed a one-year contract with the Bears on Tuesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Jenkins put together a solid 2019 campaign, playing all 16 games, including five starts, with the Dolphins. The veteran defensive tackle previously played with the Bears in 2017 but largely went unnoticed, posting eight tackles in eight games with the franchise.

Racks up 34 tackles
Jenkins notched 34 tackles (20 solo), one sack and one defended pass across 16 regular-season games in 2019.
Analysis: Jenkins managed to play a full 16-game slate for the first time since 2013. The 30-year-old defensive end is set to become an unrestricted free agent in March, and his 2019 campaign may serve to help buoy his value.
