The Seahawks ranked 28th in total defense (379.1 YPG) and parted ways with LB Bobby Wagner during the offseason.
Analysis: Seattle said goodbye to both Wagner and QB Russell Wilson, ushering in a new era for the franchise, and the immediate future lines up as a rebuild. New DC Ken Norton will have his work cut out for him, as the signing of DE Uchenna Nwosu was the only semi-major defensive addition, and he had only nine sacks last year for the Chargers. The Seahawks D/ST is unlikely to be on the fantasy radar much in 2022.

The Seahawks allowed 357 yards and 29 points during the Week 17 loss to the Lions and play the Cardinals on Sunday.
Analysis: The Seattle D/ST had three takeaways and zero sacks, but any serious fantasy production was hampered by Detroit's 22 points in the second half. The Cardinals have averaged 17.7 points over the past three games, but QB Kyler Murray still provides a difficult matchup. The Seahawks D/ST had minimal production in the previous matchup with the Cards this season and is a poor option for Week 18.

The Seahawks allowed 25 points and 317 yards during the Week 16 loss to the Bears and play the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: Backup QB Nick Foles started for Chicago, but the Seahawks D/ST managed zero takeaways and four sacks. The unit has failed to produce for fantasy managers despite some attractive matchups during the second half of the season, and another opportunity comes this weekend. Tim Boyle is set to start under center for Detroit with Jared Goff (knee) doubtful, so Seattle has another strong outlook defensively. The Seahawks allowed 332 yards and 20 points during the Week 15 loss to the Rams and play the Bears on Sunday.
Analysis: The Seattle D/ST had four sacks and a takeaway but were unable to slow down WR Cooper Kupp, who had 136 receiving yards and two scores. Still it was a solid defensive performance as Seattle continues to play well. QB Justin Fields and Chicago's offense managed only nine points last week, and the Seahawks D/ST is a strong option for Week 16 in this matchup.

The Seahawks allowed 380 yards and 13 points during the Week 14 win over the Texans and play the Rams on Sunday.
Analysis: The Seattle D/ST ranks fifth in scoring defense this season (20.2 PPG), but the effort against Houston was largely unproductive with only two sacks and zero takeaways. The Seahawks D/ST ranks near the bottom of the league in takeaways and sacks, so it's a much better on-field defense than a fantasy unit. It's not worth fantasy consideration for Week 15 while going up one of the top offenses in the league at Los Angeles.

The Seahawks allowed 365 yards and 23 points during the Week 13 win over the 49ers and play the Texans on Sunday.
Analysis: The Seattle D/ST was unable to contain TE George Kittle but overall had a productive performance with one sacks, three takeaways and a safety. The Seahawks haven't given up more than 23 points since Week 5 against the Rams, and a matchup with the Texans should be a gold mine. However, the Seattle D/ST has struggled with takeaways and sacks, so there's a more limited ceiling despite the favorable matchup.

Seattle gave up 371 yards and 17 points during the Week 12 loss to Washington and play San Francisco on Sunday.
Analysis: The Seahawks D/ST had one sack, one takeaway and a safety while allowing 4.7 yards per play to the Football Team. The 49ers have scored 30-plus points in three straight contests, as QB Jimmy Garoppolo has steered the ship well of late. RB Elijah Mitchell has 27 carries in his last two games and should continue to be the workhorse for San Francisco, though the Seahawks run defense is a strength (3.9 YPC). The Seattle D/ST is a middling option for Week 13 with a low ceiling.

Seattle gave up 23 points and 413 yards during the Week 11 loss to Arizona and play Washington on Monday.
Analysis: The Seattle D/ST didn't have to worry about going up against QB Kyler Murray (ankle), but it had only two sacks and zero takeaways against backup Colt McCoy. Washington has averaged 28 points across the past two games, with QB Taylor Heinicke and WR Terry McLaurin continuing to show a strong connection. Heinicke isn't exactly risk averse, but the Seahawks have struggled this year defensively when in comes to playmaking. The Seahawks D/ST is a middling option with a low ceiling for Week 12.

The Seahawks gave up 393 yards and 17 points during the Week 10 loss to the Packers and play the Cardinals on Sunday.
Analysis: The Seattle D/ST played pretty well with three sacks and a takeaway, and it limited Green Bay to two touchdowns on five trips to the red zone. Still, it was modest production, and the on-field performance was much better than the fantasy effort. A matchup with Arizona this week isn't much better, though the status of QB Kyler Murray (ankle) looms large. The Seahawks rank 31st in total defense (401.5 YPG) and eighth in scoring (21.1 PPG) entering Sunday's game against the Packers.
Analysis: Seattle shut down Jacksonville in Week 8 before the bye week and will return to the field with a tough matchup. QB Aaron Rodgers is expected to return from his bout with COVID-19 this weekend, which immediately tanks the Seahawks' defensive prospects. The Seahawks gave up 304 yards and 13 points during the Week 7 loss to the Saints and play the Jaguars on Sunday.
Analysis: It was a good effort as Seattle allowed 4.5 yards per play with two sacks and one takeaways, which resulted in modest fantasy production. It's a step in the right direction heading into Week 8, with a favorable matchup on tap versus Jacksonville. Rookie QB Trevor Lawrence has endured his share of struggles, and the Jags ranks tied-29th in giveaways (12) despite already having their bye. The Seahawks D/ST is a strong play for Week 8.

The Seahawks gave up 345 yards and 23 points during the Week 7 loss to the Steelers and play the Saints on Monday.
Analysis: The Seattle D/ST had a decent, unflashy performance, but it provided minimal fantasy scoring with one sack and one takeaway. The Seahawks still rank worst in the league in total defense (433.2 YPG) and are also tied-22nd in sacks (11) and tied-19th in takeaways (six). QB Jameis Winston has shown better ball security under coach Sean Peyton but remains erratic at times, but that only leaves the Seahawks D/ST as a middling option for Week 7, in part because there's multiple better defenses on bye.

The Seahawks allowed 476 yards and 26 points during the Week 5 loss to the Rams and play the Steelers on Sunday.
Analysis: QB Matthew Stafford averaged 9.9 yards per pass while RB Darrell Henderson averaged 4.8 yards per carry as Seattle muster one sack and one takeaway. The Seahawks are allowing over 450 YPG overall and 25.2 PPG, and the loss of QB Russell Wilson (finger) figures to have a negative impact on the defense going forward. However, Pittsburgh and QB Ben Roethlisberger haven't been impressive in 2021 (18.8 PPG), so the Seahawks remain an average option for Week 6 without a ton of upside.

The Seahawks allowed 21 points and 457 yards during the Week 4 win over the 49ers and play the Rams on Thursday.
Analysis: San Francisco averaged 7.3 yards through the air and 4.9 yards on the ground, but the Seattle D/ST was able to limit the scoring by allowing only two of 14 third downs to be converted. It was a meager fantasy day for the Seahawks with two sacks and two takeaways. Analysis: The Seattle D/ST had one sack and zero takeaways, as there were few positives to glean from this contest despite the fact Minnesota was without RB Dalvin Cook (ankle). San Francisco offers a more favorable matchup in Week 4, as QB Jimmy Garoppolo has been forced to handle a larger workload given the injuries to the team's running backs, though he's larger been reliable under center. The ability to contain RB Dalvin Cook figures to be a sticking point in the matchup, and Seattle is allowing 4.5 yards per carry this season.
