Analysis: Nick Foles and Bryce Brown will continue their lead roles against the Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Though the Bengals allow plenty of yardage through the air, they are tied for the third-fewest (14) passing scores allowed. Against the run, however, the unit is tied with the seventh-most (11) touchdowns allowed.

Celek has been ruled out for Thursday's contest against Cincinnati, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis: Celek sustained the concussion during the first quarter of the Eagles' eventual win Sunday in Tampa Bay, but the injury is severe enough to keep him sidelined in Week 15. Look for Clay Harbor to slot into the starting tight end spot, as he hauled in six receptions (on six targets) for 52 yards and a touchdown in the aforementioned victory.

Analysis: With Nick Foles throwing for just 119 yards, the outlook couldn't be much bleaker for the Philadelphia passing game. As no more than the third-most important component of that passing game, Celek is barely worth a bench spot outside of deep leagues, at least as long as Michael Vick (concussion) is on the sideline.

Analysis: It was a decent showing for PPR league owners, but Sunday's game gave no reason to expect improved production for Celek as December approaches.

Analysis: As poorly as Vick has been playing, a change might salvage the values of DeSean Jackson , Jeremy Maclin and Brent Celek. With the Eagles squaring off against the porous Redskins secondary, owners in a bind could give the wideouts and Foles consideration.

Saints provide deceiving matchup for Celek

In his Week 9 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em analysis, Michael Fabiano notes the Saints defense "has also allowed just one touchdown and the sixth-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. If you do start Celek, don't expect him to put up a monster stat line." READ: START 'EM, SIT 'EM

Analysis: This looks like a tremendous matchup on paper, but it's been wideouts who have thrived against the Saints, leaving little room or use for tight ends. Don't be tricked into starting Celek this week.

Celek caught three passes for 32 yards against Atlanta on Sunday.

Analysis: Celek is on pace to go over the 800-yard mark this year, but that pace could dwindle as the weeks pass, because 157 of his 389 yards came in one game alone (Week 2 against Baltimore). The Eagles are struggling on offense, and Celek hasn't gone over 33 yards since September.

Analysis: Through six games, Celek has 25 catches for 357 yards and one touchdown. The numbers are consistent with his past production, a 971-yard, eight-touchdown 2009 season aside. He might end the year as a top-15 fantasy option at tight end, but his upside probably isn't higher than that.

Celek could bounce-back in Week 6

In his Start 'Em, Sit 'Em analysis, fantasy guru Michael Fabiano notes that "since he put up 157 yards versus the Baltimore Ravens, Celek has a combined 102 yards and an average of 5.4 fantasy points in his last three games." FULL START 'EM, SIT 'EM

Analysis: Celek could bounce-back this week against a Detroit defense which has given up an average of more than 10 fantasy points per game to tight ends.

Celek caught three passes for nine yards and a touchdown against Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Analysis: Celek continues to post decent but unremarkable numbers. He could be more active next Sunday against a Detroit squad that has been vulnerable through the air.

Celek caught four passes for 57 yards against the Giants on Sunday.

Analysis: Celek has a very respectable total of 18 catches for 315 yards through four weeks, but he has failed to score a touchdown and remains ideally no more than a TE2. His average of 17.5 yards per catch probably isn't sustainable, either, so he'll need to either catch more passes or prepare to see his yardage numbers slow down.

Celek had two catches for 36 yards Sunday against Arizona.

Analysis: 34 of Celek's 36 receiving yards came on one play, so his afternoon could have been a lot worse had he not broken that one deep. With Jeremy Maclin out, Celek was expected to get more looks but he was targeted only six times despite Michael Vick throwing 37 passes.

Celek's use in question

Brian Billick writes that the Eagles have to decide if they're going to keep tight end Brent Celek back to help protect Michael Vick, as they did in Week 1, or cut him loose and let him take part in the passing attack, as they did in Week 2. Option one keeps Vick safe, but Celek really thrived with option two, grabbing eight catches for 157 yards against the Ravens.

Analysis: Fantasy owners who took a chance on Celek are hoping it's the latter. He should be elevated to your starting lineup, but pay attention to which way the Eagles plan on using him long-term.

Analysis: Celek led the Eagles in receptions, targets and receiving yards, although he was unable to get into the end zone. He appears to have become Michael Vick's favorite target and he's especially valuable in PPR leagues.

Maclin re-injures hip

Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin was carted to the locker room after aggravating his hip injury. He was visibly in pain, and coach Andy Reid said after the game that it was related to Maclin's hip pointer injury.

Analysis: This is an injury to be monitored closely by fantasy owners. It kept Maclin out of practice all last week and his status was in question for Sunday's game. No doubt he'll be limited in practice this week. Brent Celek (8 catches, 157 yards) and DeSean Jackson (7-114) picked up the load in Maclin's absence. No other Eagles receiver had more than two catches.

Maclin aggravates hip injury

Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin was carted to the locker room after aggravating his hip injury. He appeared to be a lot of pain.

Analysis: Brent Celek has been the biggest beneficiary, racking up 100- plus yards on the day. Both he and Jason Avant could be in line for more work if Maclin misses time moving forward.

Analysis: Considering the Eagles threw the ball 56 times, it's not the most efficient showing for Celek. He's ideally a backup tight end in most leagues.

Analysis: Though it was a quiet effort for Celek, the most important thing to glean here is that he is apparently past the mild knee sprain that he suffered in late July.

Analysis: Given that he's very familiar with the Eagles' offense, missed time in camp for Celek shouldn't have a significant impact on his role once the games begin to count in September.

Analysis: Celek, who is recovering from a mild knee sprain, seems more likely to suit up in the Eagles' second preseason contest, which is 11 days after Thursday's tilt, on August 20.

Analysis: Despite the injury being considered minor, Celek should only be considered as a No. 2 TE in fantasy football drafts. He might warrant better value once the season gets going if guys like Fred Davis or Tony Gonzalez don't live up to early expectations.

Analysis: Barring a setback, we're about ready to consider Celek at full strength. In his current condition, he's a lock to start Week 1 for Philadelphia.

Analysis: Celek finished up the 2011 season with 62 catches for 811 yards and five TDs, but three of his scores and 294 of yards were accumulated over the last three weeks of the season, also known as fantasy playoff time. Barring any unexpected issues, Celek should be 100 percent by the time the hitting starts again.

Celek had five receptions for 156 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's 45-19 win over the Jets.

Analysis: Celek nearly had a second touchdown on a 73-yard reception, but was tackled just outside the goal line.

Analysis: The numbers don't necessarily impress, but we're going on a month straight now of Celek serving as a leading figure in the Philadelphia passing game. His 53 yards led the team Sunday, and his seven targets were second only to Steve Smith. Celek ideally remains a TE2 on your roster, but he has been targeted often lately and, between DeSean Jackson's discipline issues and Jeremy Maclin's injuries from Sunday, he might be the most stable pass catcher for the Eagles over the next couple weeks.

Analysis: While Celek's showing wasn't a hit in standard-scoring fantasy terms, the fact that he has been utilized so much more in the Philadelphia offense lately has his overall fantasy value in a sharp upward swing. It's suddenly looking reasonable to give him a shot as a fantasy starter in most leagues.
